Notice that Trump got him to try and attack Guam, which is still significant and given that we have fighter jets on the island (keep in mind I’m not downplaying this), but NK isn’t saber-rattling about attacking the West Coast or Alaska anymore. They’re focused on attacking an island that’s no bigger than some counties. That’s how deft Trump’s negotiating/tactical skills are at seeing the issue and forcing his opponent to settle for less.

The current situation is a slightly upgraded version of the last one. If it does not followed by a significant movement to a resolution, all it does is to just freeze the situation It would just delay the process not reverse it.
