Tom Cruise was injured during a building-jumping stunt on the set of "Mission Impossible 6."
The 55-year-old actor was in London Sunday when he attempted to leap from a rigging onto a building but he fell short of the mark and hit the building pretty hard.
You see Cruise try to limp away and then collapse. He then limps back to the edge of the building and and is pulled away by crew members on the safety team.
We don't know the extent of his injuries.
Is he trying to beat Jackie Chan’s injury record?
His co-star in these MI films, Jeremy Renner, recently broke both arms or elbows in a stunt gone wrong.
“How does he keep getting a job?”
Probably because he’s pretty good at his job.
Ain't that the truth.
My husband told me, "Tom Cruise got hurt by MI-6". At least that was what I heard.
So I am sitting there wondering why British Intelligence would want to hurt Tom Cruise. Then I thought maybe they had seen "The Mummy" and I could understand the impulse but it seemed a bit of an overreaction.
Oh yeah. That hurt.
"Because it's a long way down" is the reason that comes to mind. I enjoy the MI movies and I respect the act that he does his own stunts, but it would be fine if he didn't, too. It might be time to consider letting someone else do some of them.
Keanu Reeves is another, and he is almost as old as Cruise. Also Jackie Chan, of course. I don't know how he can even walk anymore.
Jackie Chan got the idea from Burt. Jackie was in CannonBall Run, saw the outtakes at the end of the movie, and started doing it himself.
If you like seeing Cruise suffer, Edge of Tommorrow is the movie for you.
Nah, no movie was involved.
He is pretty good at his job. He has either producer or executive producer credits on his MI movies and the Jack Reacher movies. He has a job because he makes one.
No fan of Cruise as a person, but he just happened to have starred in two of my all time favorite movies: Vanilla Sky and Eyes Wide Shut. Two very haunting films.
If I flew my own chopper and got to drive F1 cars just because I wanted to, I wouldn’t take crap from anyone.
Well, I don’t take any crap now, but you know what I mean...
Thanks. I’ll look it up.
LOL!
I forgot that Reynolds was in “The Cannonball Run”. I remember Chan, only because I read he whined about being cast as a Japanese team member. (As if HK or China had a legitimate auto industry at the time...)
Life would be pretty good.
The Mission Impossible movies have made nearly $3 billion.
The two Jack Reacher films made $400 million.
He’s not going to carry a weird movie like Jerry Maguire to massive box office any longer. But you can put him in a mainstream blockbuster and know it’s going to work.
He’s also apparently a dream to work with. He is always completely prepared and willing to do absolutely anything a director asks. And he loves doing his own stunts.
He’s a total maniac, but that translates to good things on a movie set, I guess.
