There's nothing dishonest and/or immoral than meeting every legal standard of a stupid law. In fact, it's pretty well understood that one of the most effective ways of generating public support to overturn a stupid law is to have everyone follow it meticulously -- to their own advantage.

Excellent point.
This seems to be a common democrat tactic. They change the rules of the game, then get mad when the other team wins by playing by those rules.
