I told a co-worker that Trump isn't a moderate but he didn't really understand what I was saying. And the co-worker is a Trump supporter.

Trump isn't a radical conservative but the DC Establishment is so far gone that they think Trump is some sort of revolutionary.

Now that I think about it, Trump is just the first salvo in the battle to deconstruct the Federal Establishment. The DC government has gotten too large, too arrogant, and too out of touch with the America public to survive in its present form.
