Seems Politico is banned here...way to go free speech

‘We need to talk about what people think about when they wake up in the morning, and it’s not Russia,’ said one strategist.

But a plurality of voters in the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll said Congress should not seek to impeach Trump. An earlier Harvard-Harris Poll found nearly two-thirds of American voters say investigations into Trump and Russia are hurting the country.

In that polling, wary Democrats see shades of 1998, when Republicans were widely believed to have overreached on the Monica Lewinsky scandal, losing five House seats in the midterm elections.

Maybe the Russian Conspiracy is a distraction from the real crimes committed by destroying thousands of e-mails damaging to the Democratic Party. The media wants bigger government programs for the future. The media is the Democratic Party working together to block another agenda.

About damned time the Democrats were starting to see the handwriting on the wall - nobody CARES about Russia. And they are trying their very best to force Trump into a confrontation with Russia that shall not be to the benefit to either Russia or the US.

This most recent, in which Congress passed sanctions against Russia and virtually defied Trump to veto the bill, but sending it over with overwhelming majorities that would be virtually veto-proof, is just one more part of the duel between the ?Establishment? and the Trump administration.

This does not augur well for peace in our time.

Democrats see shades of 1998

The Republicans roared into power in 1994 with their Contract With America and were flying high until the government shutdown in 1995 when -- instead of fighting back -- they cowered under the withering assault by Clinton and his media. It was all downhill from there until the Democrats decided to run ManBearPig in 2000.

Yes, there seem to be an increasing number of sites that are banned not for legal reasons but simply because they have been declared "not welcomed" at Free Republic, regardless that they might host articles which would be of interest to people who spend time here.

At one time FReepers used to be mature enough to understand that while sites such Politico and Salon were bastions of liberal media, they were still allowed to hit the nail on the head from time to time. Not anymore. Today, these decisions are made for us.

And people wonder why this place is turning into Blogpimp Central.

“‘We need to talk about what people think about when they wake up in the morning, and it’s not Russia,’ said one strategist.”

Hillary spent the last month of her campaign whining about Russian interference and lost. I expected that even a dumbocrat would get the message.

Bottom line is that this story helps Trump and the GOP more than it hurts. Without it all we would hear about is the complete failure of the republican congress to pass any meaningful reforms. Their failure had nothing to do with the Russian witch hunt but they will probably be able to convince voters that it did.

The GOP will gain seats next year. Just watch.

Democrats are increasingly conflicted about how forcefully to press the issue of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Dems can muse about 'pressing the issue' because they own most of the New York Times and Washington Post reporters.

Liberals say “mission accomplished”, anything that hurts the U.S. makes liberals happy.

Politico can be posted in the Blogger section...which drives me crazy. I forget and post in News and have to redo the post every time I post from Politico. Not sure why Politico in particular is targeted. They aren’t any worse than any other liberal news outlet. In fact, I think they covered the WikiLeaks more than some others.
