I have a quite different view. They are not trying to make him quit in disgust.
The power wielded by President Trump is more than adequate to destroy the House of Cards that Hillary clinton and the DNC emails made vulnerable. The Special Counsel investigation is a threat, black mail if you will. Trump is threatened to back off or we will expose all.
Comparing the two positions, Trump has the stronger.

Well if you look at The President’s speech last night he was going directly after the Clintons. You may have something there. When he fired Comey they interpreted that as reopening the investigation into the Clintons. It is amazing the corruption of the Clintons. The tentacles must reach far and wide. They are protecting them with everything they’ve got. An honest investigation of the Clintons is probably all we need to do to almost completely drain the dc swamp and they know it.

Same here. I don’t watch Carlson much any more, due to his never challenging the lies his ‘guests’ spout. Fox’s 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 shows are not worth watching. I turn on Hannity at 10:00 and that’s about it. The rest are too weak in supporting Trump...or downright against his agenda. They ignore the stock market, the jobs, the people out here who voted for Trump.

Jumping on a chance for biological fame, a group in Colorado took up the challenge and determined that an individual Aspen also grows under ground and sends up sprouts and thus occupies vast areas. It’s way past time to stop the madness they are carrying out with no one to stop them. It’s already in the danger zone with our republic, our constitution, our justice dept, and the future for our children. The corruption continues unabated and they have tied Trump’s hands to stop any of it!
Maybe it would be better if Patriots just out and out killed these bastards?
