The glaciers covered so much ground that the production of oxygen from plants was reduced and CO2 remained in the atmosphere warming it eventually. The main carbon sink wasn’t there.

More ice in glaciers means less water vapor in the air.
Water vapor is the REAL greenhouse gas.
