WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump collaborated with Fox News to concoct a story claiming Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was killed in retaliation for furnishing information damaging to Hillary Clinton to WikiLeaks, according to a lawsuit by a private investigator for the slain man’s family.
Rod Wheeler — the investigator, a former Washington police detective and an occasional Fox News contributor — claims in his lawsuit that the president read the Fox story before it was published and suggested the insertion of quotes falsely attributed to Wheeler supporting the story’s premise. Trump wanted the story published to divert attention from the widening investigation into his campaign’s ties to Russia, Wheeler claims.
Rich, 27, a graduate of Omaha Central High School and Creighton University, was fatally shot in the early hours of July 10, 2016, outside his home in Washington, D.C. His parents, Joel and Mary Rich, live in Omaha.
The complaint’s first paragraph includes a screen shot of a May 14 text message to Wheeler from another Fox News contributor that reads: “Not to add any more pressure but the president just read the article. He wants the article out immediately. It’s now all up to you. but don’t feel the pressure.”
The story was published May 16 and later retracted by the network, according to the complaint.

In an interview Monday, Wheeler told FOX 5 DC he had sources at the FBI confirming there was evidence of communication between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks. This is the verbatim of that exchange:
FOX 5 DC: “You have sources at the FBI saying that there is information...”
WHEELER: "For sure..."
WHEELER: "Absolutely. Yeah. That's confirmed."
In the past 48 hours, Rod Wheeler has told other media outlets he did not get his information from FBI sources, contradicting what he told us on Monday.

Leftwing Media wants to turn its coverup of an explosive story into a conspiracy by the right. Reminds me of the “vast right-wing conspiracy” the Clinton’s blamed for Bill’s philandering.
But look at the facts of the death of Seth Rich. Everything points to the coverup of a murder. And this murder was of a liberal who believed in the Democrat party, but could not stomach the corruption he discovered, and felt compelled to try to stop it.
This will backfire like a ‘61 Chevy being revved up and having the key turned off then on again - I once split a muffler from stem to stern discovering how that works....
Wheeler would have to monetize his damages. Not likely.

The media is simply following orders from their bosses. The Twitter activity in recent days has been driven quite heavily in an organized fashion... lots of "resist" people, many union people (SIEU, teachers' unions, etc.) are very busy pushing their assigned narrative of the day.
It all smells very coordinated, probably coming from the Obama/DNC war room in DC and distributed via groups like OFA and so on. They're sounding more and more desperate every day.

It fits the theme established with Trump dictating DJT Jr. statement, the common theme being Trump is trying to cover up his collusion with the Russians.

This is to demean Trump and leave a false impression that he has nothing else to do and is, in fact, doing nothing else but trivial nonsense. It is concerted “fake News” but let me point out that the Russian Fake news story is completely dead. I watched MSNBC last night and it was not mentioned. The whole thing failed miserably. The time now is to mend fenses with the Russians and move on.
