I never wish death on anyone save the evil of the evilist.

That said while Recall isn’t possible, a vote of non confidence can be put on a ballot in Arizona. Let his legacy be a state that no longer wants him.

...As to removal by recall, the United States Constitution does not provide for nor authorize the recall of United States officers such as Senators, Representatives, or the Preside nt or Vice President, and thus no Member of Congress has ever been recalled in the history of the United States...

...Although the Supreme Court has not needed to directly address the subject of recall of Members of Congress, other Supreme Court decisions, as well as the weight of other judicial and administrative decisions, rulings, and pinions, indicate that

(1) the right to remove a Member of Congress before the expiration of his or her constitutionally established term of office is one which resides exclusively in each house of Congress as expressly delegated in the expulsion clause of the United States Constitution, and

(2) the length and number of the terms of office for federal officials, established and agreed upon by the states in the Constitution creating that federal government, may not be unilaterally changed by an individual state, such as through the enactment of a recall provision or a term limitation for a United States Senator or Representative...

Trump could veto the Russian section bill. And stick it right in John McCain’s other eye. Just sayin.

I think Trump recognized Healthcare was going down and that’s why he brought in the pitbull Scaramooch. It’s a reset of the White House. Badly needed. The GOPe did not deliver and now they’re on notice.

Preibus’s days are numbered. It’s time to stir up the animals for 2018! And Trump is ready to fight and win that one.

Chin up, FRiends. We’ve only just begun to fight!

McCain is 80 y/o. How many Americans died in their 20’s due to his warmongering? “F” John McCain.

Corruption will never be curtailed without term limits. I wish voters would march in the street for that goal.

Politics is a complex and interwoven, non-linear series of events. Like war, the best laid plans will not survive first contact with the enemy. Radical changes, like a recall, could have unexpected disastrous results. For example, the laws are different in each state. Does the governor get to pick the replacement? If so, the replacement may be much worse. There are too many unknowns to shout “recall” just because we are unhappy with what somebody did.

There is a legitimate process to replace people in office that works far more reliably. It’s called the primary. Yes, it’s a lot of work and it isn’t fast or as satisfying as saying, in effect, “you’re fired!” It’s not easy, but it is safer than making a radical change in a system that has proven itself over time.

Another possibility is generating enough political ground-swell to change the minds of the existing politicians. Successful politicians are exquisitely tuned to read the voters and survive.

We made it through Obama without resulting to the cartridge box. Let’s not let our impatience shoot ourselves in the foot now.

I’m no big fan of McConnell but I don’t think he could have done anything more with the treacherous weasels in our ranks. I hope Trump campaigns against these guys in their elections. Lot of house cleaning to do. The good thing is we have a good map for 2018.

Should the retards in their states stop reelecting them?

That’s the better question.

“Eighteen states have recall provisions. Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado,
Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey,
North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, and Wisconsin all have recall of some
kind available to their voters. Only seven of these states require any grounds.”

Here is how it works in Az. Az does have a recall provision but it depends on whether the candidate signed the optional “Commitment to resign if recalled” form during their run for office, most do to help them become elected. And McCain signed one every run including his last term.

What this means is if Az holds a special election to recall and it goes in favor of a recall then a Senator who has signed this resignation form legally has to resign without question or argument.

I chased this all down during McCain’s last term and found that he did indeed sign and promise to resign. But this time around I’m not sure if he did or not. The Az Gov sites have now removed this information from their sites. They are hiding all the information I had found the last time I chased it down and the links in my notes are now dead.

So I’m having trouble locating the PDF document of his form if he did sign one again this time around. If he did then he can indeed be recalled at any time. I talked to Kelli Ward about her team looking into this and finding out if he did or not.

If two of those three RINOs had decided to vote yes instead of no, rest assured that two other RINO’s would have stepped in to replace them. McConnell played his usual game of betrayal. He needs to go.

exactly! This way 48 Senators will campaign on their vote to repeal and replace. What a bunch of uncaring perfumed princes.

States may not afford to the requirements and methods for election of Federal officials outlined in the Constitution. That’s why you need a Constitutional Amendment to get term limits on Senators, and why you can’t recall them. There were lots of state term limit laws passed too. They were ruled invalid and unconstitutional in the case of Senators.

Trump could veto the Russian sanction bill.

Trump isn't walking into that trap, as stupid and damaging as this bill is. Congress will just have to own their own stupidity and deal with the consequences of their actions.

In the event McCain didn’t vote no, don’t you suspect there would have been one, or two or even three other Senators ready to vote no? And the fact they voted yes was all to deceive their voters imo.

You are 100% correct here. This is nothing but political theater. The vote tally was known before a single vote was cast McCain had nothing to lose by voting against the wishes of his constituents and against that on which he campaigned a few years ago.

If I ever need to visit the emergency room, I will simply claim that I am "undocumented". It might be a tougher sell for me given my anglo appearance and background, but what is there to lose at this point?

Trump has exposed what a cesspool DC truly is. I hope he goes "scorched earth" from this point forward.

The 17th amendment to the US Const. caused this problem so naturally repealing same would fix it.
