White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said that some of the leaks coming from the Trump administration would have resulted in people being hanged 150 years ago.
"The White House leaks are small potatoes relative with things going on about leaking things about Syria or North Korea or Iraq. Those are the types of leaks that are so treasonous that 150 years ago people would have been hung for those type of leaks," Scaramucci said.
Later in the interview, Scaramucci said "Now all of the cynics around here and the tweets and all these other nonsense saying the leaks are never to going to stop. And I say to those people, you are correct. I know the leaks will never stop, but if I can dial back the leaks in the department that I am representing and the department that I am running, then I will feel that I've accomplished something on behalf of our president."
Scaramucci, who was hired last week, previously said he would fire any leakers on his watch.

Right now the elected are trying to put us in our place by fiddling with nobamacare and republicans who are part of the swamp, undermine our President. We put him in the presidency and not the politicians picking one of the own. They don’t like what we did. Now we need to stick together and always be aware of the swamp. Listening to about 8 minutes of msnbc this am, I’m reminded, We Must Be Alert to the things they are saying. And watch the politicians like a hawk watching a mouse.
When Trump turns on this dude in a year, it’s going to be epic. I wish Roddy Piper was still alive so it could happen on Piper’s Pit.

You’re probably right - and he’s probably right. Lincoln would have hung’em, Roosevelt would have locked them up. Actually, Lincoln did use the tactic of locking up his political opposition did he not?
Scaramucci is good in many ways.
I’m kinda concerned that he’s so anti-gun, pro-abortion, pro-globull warming, etc. But if he affirms and promotes the President’s pro-life, pro-2nd Amendment, anti-”climate change” policies, then he’s on the right side of history.

Those were the days when concepts like honor and “a man’s word is his bond” had real meaning. That was also before the age of celebrity worship, television, cheap fame for fame’s sake, and the giant slush fund (pig’s trough) that is modern Washington DC.

Firing people is often a goal of leakers, and since he has made the threat Scaramucci is going to probably be inundated with smoke and mirrors acts to obscure what is real in the hopes of getting people fired. One real thing is that the Trump people are hopelessly outnumbered by Obama apparatchiks. If he keeps firing on his own,
A) Their numbers will never increase.
B) Good people will stop putting in applications.
I don’t doubt that weasel-boy Reince is a problem, but if he is going to take the extraordinary step of firing on one of the few, the proud, the actual Republicans down there, he had better prove what he says beyond a shadow of a doubt.
