Praising Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), now battling brain cancer, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday said McCain is thinking beyond the health care bill.
“You know, I love the man,” Schumer (D-N.Y.) told a news conference on Tuesday, after the Senate vote on a motion to proceed to a health care bill that is open to amendments.
“He's a great man," Schumer said of McCain. "We've been close friends. He even said to me when I called him this weekend, ‘Let's get immigration reform done,’ so he's thinking of the future. As you know, he and I worked on that [2013 comprehensive immigration reform] bill. And it was great to see him back, strong as he was.”

McCain is dying of brain cancer but can show up for work when and only when it serves his purpose. I’m not drawing any conclusions, just having personal opinions.
We have done immigration reform - it was called election Donald Trump to be president, extensively to build the wall and deport illegals. Spare us the reform.

Quite frankly, I have no sympathy for McCain.
He’s lived to 81, and many don’t get the privilege.
He has been a self absorbed prick his entire life, betrayed his country in time of war, betrayed his fellow POWs in 1992, and betrayed his party, plus he took a dive in 2008 to allow the Age of Obama.
At least Benedict Arnold won the Battle of Saratoga for America.
This is why the country is in such terrible shape. The GOP has been in bed with the Socialists since FDR. They have bought votes with programs until we now have $100 TRILLION in unfunded liabilities that the next five generations can’t pay for.
There is no opposition to all the freebies the government has given our own citizens, and having killed much of their future voting base in the womb, now the Socialists want to open the borders to the world’s leeches, who will vote to keep the goodies coming. Everything the government does ends in expensive disasters.
“Reform” is always a dangerous world when a politician says it. What America needs is to enforce existing laws and deport every single illegal in the country.

The left have been claiming that Trump is medically (psychiatry is a branch of medicine) unfit to continue as president despite an absence of clinical evidence.
Speaking of clinical evidence, John McCain has just had surgery for a blood clot AND has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor yet the left welcome him back to the world’s most exclusive club with open arms and asked him to continue pursing their mutual agenda.
