Trump’s Attack on Sessions over Clinton Prosecution Highlights His Own ‘Weak’ Stance [Breitbart!]
Breitbart News ^ | 07/25/2017 | Adam Shaw

President Trump’s decision Tuesday to attack Attorney General Jeff Sessions over Sessions’ “position” on Hillary Clinton’s various scandals only serves to highlight Trump’s own hypocrisy on the issue — and is likely to fuel concerns from his base who see Sessions at the best hope to fulfill Trump’s immigration policies.

Trump’s attack is the latest in a series of shots Trump has launched at Sessions in recent days, annoyed still over Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from Russia investigations in March. But Trump himself was the one who flip-flopped on whether to prosecute Clinton.

“What kind of GOP POTUS appoints ‘rat bastard’ s ??”

Trump can’t MAGA & govern without the pretend republicans in congress.

His hiring overtures to the rinos in the kabuki party has been repaid with treachery.

After 8 years of NO OPPOSITION to a treasonous marxist muslim America-hating faggot illegal alien as commander in chief, it was obvious—>our ENTIRE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS IRREPARABLY CORRUPT—ILLEGITIMATE

Like a said a year ago, we need Nuremberg style treason trials in order to drain the swamp.

Why hasn’t Mueller recused himself? Why isn’t the DOJ ethics committee not demanding it?

No matter all the jaw-boning on this, if President Trump has lost confidence in the AG, Sessions should resign. He serves at the pleasure of the president. Sessions’ recusing himself from the Russian “investigation” leaves the president with NO support from the AG’s office. Not only does President Trump have to battle the Republicans in Congress, the media, Democrats, etc., he now has to defend himself from an obviously partisan “investigation” from Mueller who has not even tried to hide his Democrat led attacks, sanctioned and with unlimited bounds, against anything to do with President Trump.

Hard to say, actually. Surely his attorneys have told him that tweeting charges as president would be seen as prejudicial in any actual case. So the more he talks about it the less able his admin is to walk the walk on it.

I hate seeing Sessions publicly attacked too. But I think that Trump is trapped here. Sessions poorly conceived recusal is what allowed Rod Rosenstein to appoint his pal Mueller as special prosecutor. Mueller has to go and getting rid of Sessions and using him as a scapegoat to fire Mueller is probably the plan.

Trump ISN’T hiding anything!! Quite the contrary, he is protecting himself and his people from made up charges. Even if Mueller comes up with NO proof Trump has done anything ILLEGAL, he cannot come away with this without some accusation of wrongdoing on the part of President Trump which the Democrats AND Republicans will use to battle President Trump and his agenda.

Accusations aren’t charges.

A president also has freedom of speech.

Prejudicing the entire country seems unlikely, unless of course you are CNN.

Agreed.

Sessions, much like the rest of the GOP, has been a catastrophe.

The GOP does not have anyone’s back other than the Democrats.

It gives those accused a legal out. That’s the simple reality.

Oh, and it has nothing to do with freedom of speech. Trump can say whatever he wants. It just means actual convictions are unlikely—which makes his tweeted words ring hollow.

“Sessions poorly conceived recusal”

All the chips fell perfectly into place after his recusal leading to this special counsel coup...

Occam’s razor—It was orchestrated.

Perspective: We’ve had 8 farking years of wholesale TREASON AND LAWLESSNESS and now we have a special counsel to investigate TRUMP?

Yeah, sure...Jeff is just a stumblebum.

“Trump’s the boss, and as soon as he was elected he advocated that the Clinton swamp not be drained.”

I see some never-trumpers have decided to crawl back above ground today.

In a recent spate of movies, the tied up victim who has been beaten and pummeled bloody spits out the blood and asks the main villain are you going to kill me now? The villain looks to the captured individual and says, no I am not going to kill you but he is and the villain walks out of the scene while his henchman kills the person tied up or if it is the case of the main character, the cavalry comes to save the day.

Not portraying the villain as the President, quite contrary here, the villain is Hitlary herself. Trump isn’t the one prosecuting the vile evil wench with the maniacal laughter from H-E-hockey sticks. Sessions would be. And this is why Trump is so irate. His henchman isn’t following the script. Sure Sessions recused himself from Russia investigations on Trump but this does not preclude him from investigating Hitlary and her henchmen and hench women. Sessions should have made it a priority from day one to seek out and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law the Don Corleone family... oops got mixed up there with the Godfather... the Clinton Family and the Obama family and their henchmen.

I must be missing something because I don’t see how this applies to Mueller.

Crimes are crimes regardless of what a person may or may not have tweeted.

Hillary plainly broke multiple federal laws many times, but we can’t convict, because Trump tweeted stuff.

Don’t think so, brah.

It says criminal investigation or prosecution — neither apply. No one has identified a crime to investigate — other than the leaking of Flynn’s name, and Mueller is not a prosecutor and he is not hired as a prosecutor.

It isn’t Trump’s job to prosecute felons.

Maybe not but it is his job to see that all felons are prosecuted. He after all is the chief law enforcement officer.
