President Trumps decision Tuesday to attack Attorney General Jeff Sessions over Sessions position on Hillary Clintons various scandals only serves to highlight Trumps own hypocrisy on the issue and is likely to fuel concerns from his base who see Sessions at the best hope to fulfill Trumps immigration policies.
Trumps attack is the latest in a series of shots Trump has launched at Sessions in recent days, annoyed still over Sessions decision to recuse himself from Russia investigations in March. But Trump himself was the one who flip-flopped on whether to prosecute Clinton.

Executed ...??
For putting ‘rat bastards’ in key positions of power?
Sounds like treason.
“Are you people medicated?”
TY...You’ve answered my question.
Yeah, looks like he needs an actual AG then, because he’s got a whole town full of felons, and ain’t none of them being prosecuted.
Got go after the potheads durr, durr, durr!
The realities are that, politically, Trump will need good cause to fire anyone associated with the “special prosecutor”.
That may happen if the special prosecutor’s team starts investigating matters wholly unrelated to Russia. Were I Trump, I would also seriously consider giving this investigation a time frame in which to complete its work.
Come on. That’s the kind of stuff that is easily seen as tainting a jury. End of story.
I wonder if Trump actually decided that himself or if that was “strongly suggested” by his early administration team which was and is still full of swamp dwellers.
Hi, can you explain your last sentence, I have trouble following the logic especially with a Hillary pardon with Don Jr. taking the fall for her... Bizarre and doesn’t make sense.
Trump made the decision November 22, 2016.
Right and that was after he won the election. You just know the Deep State, the RINOs and the Leftys were all trying to steer Trump away from that on day 1.
I have done my homework and happen to have been fond of Seesions for years as I am originally from Alabama. All that aside some of the hateful Trump comments are as uncalled for as Trump’s about Sessions.
What I’m saying is don’t dismiss those of us who are questioning why President Trump would verbally dismantle one of his most loyal and longtime supporters as never-Trumpers. Many of us are charter members of the Deplorables.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the back and forth between Trump and Sessions is a scripted distraction for the benefit of keeping the msm chasing red herring until the groundwork for the unleashing of the hell hounds on the uniparty is completed.
Trump has organized such play acts before since being elected and done so to good effect.
Oh yeah, Trump can’t talk because doing so taints the whole country and makes it impossible to sit a jury.
You come on.
Andrew would turn in his grave if he could see how stupid his site is now.
Exposing an Obama Hillary pardon could potentionally mitigate the political fallout of Trump pardoning someone, Don Jr or otherwise, for whatever comes of the witch hunt.
It is a criminal investigation. Several possible crimes have been identified. Lying on your SF-86 is a crime. Most people would have at least lost their security clearance for things like omitting over 100 foreign contacts. Several campaign officials illegally accepted money from foreign governments and then tried to cover it up (Flynn, Manafort).
None of this implicates Donald Trump himself, and I wish he would stop fanning the flames. But as I said, I’m not going to second-guess his political instincts. I would not be surprise if all this hand wringing about “what is Trump doing?!” turns into jubilation of “I see what he was doing! Nicely played!”
But we’ll see.
What you are proposing is incredibly fascinating. I pray that you are right!! One question I have is how AG Sessions' recusal on the Russia matter fits into this? Did Sessions indeed displease the president on that matter?
You are making big assumptions that they were intentionally lying (which didn’t come out until after Sessions recused himself) and that the money was illegally accepted or had anything to do with the campaign or election. Noone has stated that those are “crimes” — what is happening is an “investigation” in search of a crime. You along with the Left have predetermined that a crime was committed. Again, to my original position, the law did not require Sessions to recuse himself. We’ll just have to agree to disagree.
He needed to be totally free from ongoing constant testimony about “muh Russia” and not under suspicion.
I think Sessions ONLY displeased Trump by announcing it before he had spoken with Trump. I don’t know that the announcement would be different. But I sure don’t think Trump is banging on this “recusal” drum six months later with any degree of seriousness.
Smokescreen extraordinaire.
This seems more believable than the common perception about things.
