Here's a exact quote from President Trump's interview with the New York Times last week (he's discussing Sessions' decision to recuse himself) ...

"It's extremely unfair, and that’s a mild word, to the president. So he recuses himself. I then end up with a second man [Rosenstein], who’s a deputy. Who is he? And Jeff hardly knew. He’s from Baltimore."

That statement is either deliberately misleading or is totally incoherent in light of the following:

1. President Donald Trump nominated Rod Rosenstein to serve as Deputy Attorney General in January. Up to that point, he was serving as the U.S. Attorney for the Maryland District -- a post he held since his appointment by George W. Bush in 2007.

2. Rosenstein was eventually confirmed for this post in late April.

3. While this was all going on (from January to April), Rosenstein remained in his U.S. Attorney post in Maryland and was included in the group of 46 U.S. Attorneys whose resignations Jeff Sessions demanded in early March. President Trump refused to accept his resignation.

Does anyone here really think President Trump doesn't know who Rod Rosenstein was? LMAO.

In light of these comments that are clearly idiotic, I'd say President Trump is deliberately masking what is really going on here in terms of AG Sessions.

Interesting points! I also don’t see anything in Rosenstein’s background that would be cause for concern. He seems to be a very smart and proven Republican prosecutor who even worked for Ken Starr.

Thank you for posting this. I didn’t know this. So Sessions tried to clean house and Trump stopped him. Now he’s on Twitter whining about Sessions instead of acting like a man and bringing him in and talking to him face to face. Maybe now we know why.

I don’t like this Twitter bullshit. It got old a while back. My 17 year old daughter has already outgrown social media and thinks it’s childish. A President has much more important things to do than to talk about himself like a teenage girl on social media.

It’s damn embarrassing.
