Democrats said they will counter President Trumps The Art of the Deal with A Better Deal.
Party leaders will unveil a new economic battle plan on Monday that will highlight job-training programs, renegotiating trade deals and a $15 an hour living wage as they try to focus their message to voters, the Washington Post reported on Saturday.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Sunday said his party cant blame anyone else for their devastating defeat to Trump in November.
When you lose to somebody who is only at 40 percent popularity, you look in the mirror and say, What did we do wrong?, Schumer (D-NY) said. And I think the number one thing we did wrong was [voters] didnt know what we stood for. They knew we didnt like Trump, but they didnt know what we stood for.
The Democrats will announce their new slogan A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future and their upgraded platform of economic proposals drafted during strategy sessions over the past few months on Monday afternoon.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) echoed Schumers comments and said the gambit is is not a course correction, but its a presentation correction, the Washington Post reported.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries said Democrats have to shout their message from the rooftops.....

Yep! That's a winning platform right there! Might as well not even bother to go vote in 2018.......................
Not a course correction but a presentation correction??
So then, after 8 years of Obama and the thought of 4 to 8 years of Hillary carrying on Obamaism, the problem is not that voters rejected Democrats and Hillary and Obamaism??? The problem is rather how it is presented????
This is what Democrats think???? If only you present liberalism in a certain way then people will vote for those candidates????
A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future ........Better Pizza!..................
Stop with the insane blame. Somebody did a better job in the eyes of the voter. Blame is insane.
The Russians didn’t do it? I’m shocked! /s
They have stolen the Papa John's slogan. Better Ingredients, Better Pizza, Papa John's
Yup, the Democrats are going to push a $15.00 per hour minimum wage just about the time the stories about job losses and bankruptcies from places like Seattle and California that have the 15.00 min wage
Not to mention Hitlery sat on her fat cankle supported arse her entire campaign in the arrogant belief she would easily win. I honestly cannot remember one single solitary interview or rally she did while Trumps interviews and rallies seems to be countless. Remember that? He was doing multiple interviews every single day, no question off limits, and then he was doing 2 rallies a day, sometimes 3 or 4. He was like a machine, non-stop with a clear message while Hillary hid. And they have the GALL to blame his win on the Russians? F them! Seriously, F them to hell! These absolute selfish pigs tearing this country apart, obstructing everything and STILL Hillary will not take responsibility for her loss!
“Top Democrats”
That’s what the MSM means whenever they say “Russians”.
For jobs that used to belong to teenagers to gain experience and save for college and pay for their own car insurance.
Now they belong to illegal alien democrat voters.
Obamunism...lol
A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future
Really? Where was all this for the 8 years of Obama and their control of the Congress? Now all of a sudden they are worried about jobs? Oh and I guess they haven’t seen the news from the left coast cities that already went to the 15 dollar minimun and people are making less then before because they are losing hours!
If you go to a lot of fast-food places now you won’t see a teenager anywhere. They are all either young adults or middle aged.................
Yep! I actually wrote Papa Johns and told them they should sue because there is nothing positive that is going to come out from Democrats commandeering their slogan. I forget my exact wording, but it was something to the effect that WHEN the Democrats massively eff up like they always do, people are going to subconsciously relate that Papa Johns slogan to failure, losing.
Maybe liberals are hard wired to blame???
Because in the liberal mind, their views are so utterly clearly superior to racist sexist homophobic etc deplorable people, that the liberal mind cannot comprehend rejection of their policies and liberal theology.
So if they lose a major election, it can’t be due to the candidates or the underlying political views behind them. If they lose it must be due to some outside force.
Spot on! They still think the voters are stupid!
What a bunch of idiots. The reason why they turned me off is because of their racism, sexism, and dislike (hatred?) of Christians and middle class taxpayers. And they want to threaten our young children and women with tolerance for all types perversion.
And the fact that they give cover to a criminal and have absolutely no guilt doing so. And they whine about women’s rights and then, have as their spokesman, a known sexual predator — Bill Clinton.
They’re total and complete BS artists. If they really cared about jobs, wages and a better future they would stop obstructing Trump every single second of every day.
1. There already exist many job training programs. (Everyone knows that the dems would gasp at the best job training program: that is a good, basic education; one that emphasizes hard work, personal responsibilities, and traditional values)
2. The "living wage" is toxic to employers, will significantly boost unemployment among the poor/young, and is actually a full-employment act for robots.
3. Renegotiating trade deals? Ha ha ha. What, like the trans-pacific give-a-way? How about the deal with iran? Did we ever learn the full story? Dems prefer to act on their own, and not involve congress (no sense in letting voters know what they are up to, eh?). Dems renegotiating trade deals is so ridiculous, when even dems know we cannot trust them with foreign policy (or money).
