FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An 18-year-old Stockton woman is in jail accused of driving under the influence during a deadly crash Friday. The live Instagram recording shows Obdulia Sanchez next to a dead crash victim.
Authorities say a 14-year-old died in the crash and, in the video, she references the victim as her sister. The CHP says two minors were in the back seat were not wearing seatbelts.
The CHP says Sanchez was under the influence when she rolled her car over, into a barbed wire fence and then a field. The Merced County Sheriff says 14-year-old Jacqueline Sanchez was killed in the crash near Henry Miller Road and Highway 165.
"She was in the back seat of the vehicle and allegedly unseatbelted, and upon the vehicle rolling over, it ejected her and killed her," Sheriff Vern Warnke said.
"I killed my sister, but I don't care," she said in the video. "I killed my sister. I know I'm going to prison, but I don't care. I'm sorry baby. I'm a hold it down."
Mary Hernandez of Stockton recorded the live stream. "At first we didn't even want to believe it was real," she said. "I recorded it and posted it mainly because as someone who uses Snapchat I see a lot of people driving with their Snapchats doing what she was doing so to me it was like an eye opener."
Family members confirm the video was shot by Obdulia Sanchez. They say the victim, Jacqueline Sanchez of Stockton, was supposed to celebrate her Quinceanera Sunday.
A 14-year-old girl from Fresno was also in the car and was badly injured. Sanchez is now in the Merced County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter while under the influence and DUI.
Family members started a GoFundMe page for Jacqueline's funeral expenses.
What is wrong with people??
New York Post picked it up:

This is a poorly written article.
It is hard to tell if she was streaming prior and during the crash or began after the crash (presumably as a form of documentation).
She will have this burden to live with the rest of her life.
What the heck is a Quinceanera? I lived in SoCal for 40 years and never heard the term before reading this article. Also, while I don’t want to minimize the tragedy of a youngster losing her life, these are probably illegals who shouldn’t be on U. S. roads killing people in drunk driving incidents.
Doesn’t seem like she cares that she killed her sister. Life is cheap where they probably came from.
I guess you missed the part where she said that she "didn't care" that she had just killed her sister.
Long ago when I read Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World", I thought no way would people video others getting killed and deem the entertainment value more highly than the value of a person's life. And that world is here.
“It is hard to tell if she was streaming prior and during the crash or began after the crash (presumably as a form of documentation).”
All three. She was live streaming before, during, and after the accident.
This is ultimately what comes of a society that sanctions 'abortion on demand.'
Yep, an illegal alien thing from their home country.
I saw a headline last week, that over 50 percent of California driver's licenses are now going to illegal aliens in California. Combine that with many communities legalizing and condoning drug use. Scary!

Is this 18-year-old Stockton woman an illegal alien?
Seems like they are always referred to by where they live and not that they are really from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras or wherever.
“All three. She was live streaming before, during, and after the accident.”
Thanks.
Was that made clear in the article?

What and who speaks this kind of 'American/English'? Sounds like the kind of Americanese one gets when a 'foreigner' is trying to extract money from them.
“What the heck is a Quinceanera? I lived in SoCal for 40 years and never heard the term before reading this article.”
It’s a 15 year old birthday party for girls. Like an old Sweet 16 birthday party.
I find it hard to imagine someone from Southern California never hearing of it.
"Social media" will destroy what is left of civilization.
I would add that I think it’s time for “Tower of Babel II”, and for God to scramble the languages once again. Anytime Man is able to work together on too large a scale, it always leads to destruction.

Yes.
It’s actually quite mainstream now.
(Sadly, people here speak just as badly, but in a different but similar manner).
