President Donald Trump publicly chastised Attorney General Jeff Sessions again Monday, criticizing him for not seeking an investigation of the president's former campaign opponent.
In a morning tweet, Trump questioned why congressional and intelligence committees and the "beleaguered" Sessions are not probing what he called Hillary Clinton's "crimes and Russia relations."
Last week, Trump criticized Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin. Trump told The New York Times that he would not have appointed Sessions if he had known he would step back from the probe.
Last week, Sessions said he had no plans to leave the job.

It was reported in early June that Sessions offered to resign.
If true, I wonder why the Pres. didn’t accept then.
Too bad Mr. Sessions quit a good seat in Congress only to be let go from the Attorney General position. Waste of human resource.

It’s possible this is just a way to counter the non-stop headlines over the President and Russia.
After Trump’s election victory in November, Trump and several spokesman said they would not pursue Clinton.
This might be just gamesmanship and Sessions isn’t really in the doghouse.

However, I do like Trey but am a bit disappointed that more doesn’t come out of Congressional hearings, but perhaps by definition it’s just bark, no bite.
That's what I am wondering - couldn't the President order an investigation?

Great Question! Maybe the army of brain dead Sessions defenders over at Mark Bradmans Conservative Outhouse can answer Pres Trumps question: WHY HASNT AG SESSIONS INVESTIGATED CLINTON CRIMES?
Trey is not the answer, and he has said it himself that he is not interested. His record as a prosecutor is excellent but he exudes swamp gas just like the rest of the establishment.
As for Sessions, it appears something in his past had caught up with him emasculating what ever intentions he had going into this thing. The biggest problem child right now is Rosenstein who is front and center on the whole IC thing that never should have been brought up, especially in light that we know Comey setup the whole charade.
In my dreams I’m thinking Trump’s posturing against Sessions is theater to give the Clintons and their crime family a sense of security — while all the time Sessions has a kick-ass grand jury empaneled preparing to make about 20 arrests. Just a dream. :(

Trump said after the election that “Lock her up” was just a campaign slogan and that he did not want the Clinton’s prosecuted.
Would be helpful but Sessions has already passed on Hillary, obama, IT Bros., Panetta, CF, etc... All the evidence has been discarded. Computers have not been searched and/or a chain of custody has not been maintained. Huma is laughing her way to the bank. Hillary has so much money she can’t buy anything else she wants. I hope Trump has a plan B. Rinos have used him again.
