Trump Asks Why ‘Beleaguered’ Sessions Isn't Investigating Clinton

President Donald Trump publicly chastised Attorney General Jeff Sessions again Monday, criticizing him for not seeking an investigation of the president's former campaign opponent.

In a morning tweet, Trump questioned why congressional and intelligence committees and the "beleaguered" Sessions are not probing what he called Hillary Clinton's "crimes and Russia relations."

Last week, Trump criticized Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin. Trump told The New York Times that he would not have appointed Sessions if he had known he would step back from the probe.

Last week, Sessions said he had no plans to leave the job.

Is Sessions the only person in Washington not to see that it’s way past time for him to resign to spend more time with his family? Heck, resign now and he might still have a chance to get into the special election for his old Senate seat.

Good question.

The gope it’s obvious. They would rather have Clinton so they are not interested.

Sessions however seems to be a complete let down.

I believe Trump has a point. When I was working my primary goal was not to surprise my boss. When I messed, he was the first to know because I told him. And he protected me.

Jeffy FU’d up IMHO.

Obvious.

MSM excludes HRC criticism in coverage.

The investigation is an MSM instigated hit on DJT.

Trump should fix this.

Either investigate both or investigate neither.

I admit ignorance of the process.

Who, exactly, makes the call to investigate Clinton? Couldn’t Trump order Sessions to investigate Clinton?

What undeniable is that Trump has signaled very strongly that he no longer has confidence in Sessions. If Sessions had the integrity we thought he had, he would surely have picked up on this and resigned by now. That he won’t and hasn’t serves to prove Trump right (as usual).

Sessions is a good man but an AG (especially in these times) he is not.

On balance, Trump’s staff should have insisted that Sessions be “vetted” for a plan to pursue the criminal activities of the left (the many). Looks like that never really happened and it is falling apart now. Do it right next time....

I have been waiting for this question to be asked since Sessions was appointed. Finally! Where is Sessions?

Sessions is just another insider that believes in a multi tiered legislative process where crooked politicians are above the law. What a hack!

Sessions has either investigated or he hasn’t. If he did then it was the most secret investigation in history. It will take down the Clinton’s and Trump is actually providing cover for Sessions. Clintons have so many issues which can be proven.

The other side is that Sessions has done nothing. This would mean that Sessions is completely against Trump from the beginning. How can Sessions expect to stay on as AG despite conducting nothing in the first 7 months? In this instance he is begging Trump to fire him so he can plaster Trump with more allegations. Sessions is not stupid. He is ethier with Trump or against him. One hopes we will find out soon with all these phony Congressional hearings taking place.

Sessions was an establishment mole inside the Trump campaign from the start. When he picked a democrat to be his deputy and recused himself he gave the game away. He should have been fired a long time ago.

“beleaguered”

Looks like we’re going to get the change we’ve been crying for. Seesions and McCain gone would shift winning into another gear.
