Let’s face it, a GOP-controlled congress will not solve our spending problem. Never. Only convention of the states or complete economic collapse will rectify our unbalanced budgets and wasteful, extra-constitutional expenditures.

"...The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has been on the list of programs many conservatives and Republicans have wanted to defund since Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., was House Speaker in the 1990s. Trump wants it off the federal books, too, but House appropriators instead included $445 million for the agency. The National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities have also been favorite conservative targets, and got a death sentence in Trumps budget plan. That didnt stop the House Appropriations Committee from approving $145 million for each endowment last week with plenty of Republican help..."

Pres. Trump should tweet or go on camera and state that the establishment R’s want to take $590 MILLION away from job-promoting programs and instead dump it into programs that <2% of the population actually participate in....

JFK’s last submitted Federal Budget was $99 billion, which was sufficient to have a great and powerful nation, AND to go to the moon.
That would be $780 billion in 2017 dollars. They’re doing something wrong.

And, the defense budget was fully 50% of that 99 billion dollars. That should tell us what has gone wrong, now that defense is in single digits.
To: be-baw
President Donald Trumps plan to eliminate dozens of federal agencies and programs has collapsed, as a conservative Republican Congress refuses to go along.Conservative Republican Congress? That's a flat lie.
