Bambam took a spin in a Chevy Volt, of course he wasn’t driving it because it was still on the assembly line.

No one but the gubmint buying that oversized golf cart? What a shock. Never saw on in the wild, even those Datsun Leaf things are very rare.

oh oh.
They’ve run out of taxpayer money.
Take up a collection at the UAW meetings! That’s where the money is!

I’m as disgusted with the bailouts as most Freepers, but if GM goes under then the US will have one major automaker left. I don’t want to see that happen especially after Trump was elected, so I might be tempted to give them another chance.

I’ve seen a few of them here in NW Arkansas, but in the electric/hybrid market, there are so many better choices.
But I am pretty set against electric/hybrids as long as taxpayers have to continue to subsidize their manufacture/purchase.

I suspect Trump is cutting the free gov’t money. I hear he is going to do the same for wind and solar.

How many bailouts should taxpayers provide? I suggest that ZERO is the proper answer. Otherwise, taxpayers should rescue ALL companies, even when their demise comes because of their own poor decisions.
And yes, I understand that we are losing US industries - it concerns me too.

Otherwise, taxpayers should rescue ALL companies, even when their demise comes because of their own poor decisions. I'm not suggesting another bailout. I'm not suggesting anything more than being willing to consider buying a GM again.
