The Democrats are working on a re-brand following their near-spectacular collapse from the days when they controlled the entirety of the legislative and executive branches, and are set to officially unveil a new slogan for the 2018 elections: "A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages."
The slogan will be officially unveiled on Monday, per Vox's Jeff Stein.
If this sounds familiar, it's basically a rip-off of the tagline of the pizza chain Papa John's, which is "Better ingredients, better pizza."
While this is truly a terrible slogan, at least it's not anything the DNCC was toying around with at the beginning of the month. It's certainly better than "I mean, have you seen the other guys?" and "Make Congress blue again"--and at least it lays out actual policy goals and a reason to vote for the Democrats other than "we're not the Republicans." Better wages and better jobs are achievable concepts.
But golly, if this is the best they can come up with...they're likely to get more people to start inexplicably craving pizza than actually voting for their candidates.
I think they mean to say: "Total Dependency: Lousy Unaffordable Education, Part-Time or No Jobs, Declining Standard of Living - Except for Us, the Elites."
What are your suggested "corrections" to this obvious error?
Their slogans always sound like something out of Orwell’s novels.
‘We’re the Future!’ or ‘WTF!”.
Double plus good jobs!
The RNC needs to be preparing now to counter and trash this tomorrow!

Better ingredients, Better pizza... Papa John’s
“Oh, the humanity.”
A Better Deal: Better People from South of the Border
They realized that Trump’s emphasis on US jobs and bad trade deals were probably the issues that won the critical swing states, so they are copycatting and pretending that they also can bring about better jobs and wages.
Ah, they should stick with “Don’t Trust Whitey!”.
But I have no money.
Then take the free one.
Thank you, rat.
Very true. They would not have a clue how to bring about better jobs and wages because the only way to do it is get government out of the way via lower taxes and less regulation. They are fundamentally opposed to the latter, so it is completely phony.
Better deal?
More like Raw Deal.
How ‘bout: “We’re full of $hit and only want money and power.”
It’s not only their slogan it’s their motto. As full of holes as are their souls. Swiss cheese can’t hold a candle.
I believe their slogan should be: Be like us...live criminal lives and get away with it!
How about “Not better, just Bitter”. That’s a more appropriate slogan.
Better lies.
Better liars.
Better collectivism.
