At the request of the mayor, Minneapolis Police Chief Janeé Harteau announced her resignation Friday afternoon in the aftermath of the officer-involved shooting of Justine Damond, a 40-year-old Australian woman.

Firing the Chief of Police was a good start. They need to keep on going down the line to the immediate supervisor of the shooter. The Mayor should be gone as well.

The shooter should still be convicted of murder and jailed.

Perhaps his partner will be induced to flip and testify for the prosecution.

You see, this is why she was promoted to police chief. The EXACT SAME REASON why a Somalian refugee was hired as a cop. And not the ulta liberal mayor is throwing the police chief under the bus.

But I think it is a fine this creep resigned. We have too few resignations going on in this country; people do outrageous things in office and still retain their jobs. This has got to stop and I’m thrilled this bitch - on vacation in summer when most violent crime occurs - is out of a job.

The problem here seems to be that Harteau actually blamed Noor (”no justification for officer Mohamed Noor’s decision to shoot Damond.”)

And that went against the Mayor’s squishy, political ‘party line’.
