Never experienced having a “great” Mayor here in my lifetime in Nashville. They’ve all been degrees of meh to execrable. The closest was Beverly Briley (1963-75), a centrist Democrat who endorsed Nixon in 1972. All leftists after him.

In my lifetime, Rizzo was the ONLY Mayor that I’d call great.
Philly had a progression of democrat idiots - Wilson Goode (who firebombed a neighborhood), John Thug Street, “Fast Eddie” Rendell... the previous assclowm NUtter, and the current assclown, Jim Kenny (The Toilet Czar).
Rizzo was the last good mayor.
