President Trump is talking to Senator Ted Cruz and others about what they would do differently as Attorney General, should Jeff Sessions resign, as reports indicate.
White House sources also report President Trump was truthful when he made comments expressing buyer’s remorse over appointing Jeff Sessions to the role. Trump staffers believe Sessions, Donald Trump Jr, and Rohrabacher aide Paul Behrends were unfairly scapegoated due to the left-wing Russia narrative.
In addition, a replacement for special prosecutor Bob Mueller is being acitvely discussed as the President weighs the decision to fire the Rosenstein-appointed prosecutor. Many within the Trump camp see Mueller as acting in bad faith with the investigation due to partisanship, and are urging the appointment of a truly independent alternative.
Facing criticism as a political witch hunt by many, Bob Mueller has hired a who’s who of liberal activists as his team of prosecuting attorneys. Research on Muller’s prosecutors is being conducted for the administration by Chuck Johnson’s team. Finally, top Trump donors are funding their own research operation independent of the White House in order to push back against the media’s fake Russia narrative conspiracy theory.

Because he had Dual Citizenship, which I believe was the framer's intent. As opposed to John McCain that IMHO is a natural born citizen per the intent of the framers even though he was not born in the USA.
The recusal was far worse. Not only does the recusal look and sound bad, it is also bad for the Trump agenda and the country.

I was so wrong about Sessions. There was always a hope Sessions and Trump were setting a trap behind the scenes, but this wasn’t the case.
We need a pit bull for attorney general, not Sessions.
Trump has a key cabinet member who has failed him on an historic level. Sessions' inaction in the face of such an unprecedented onslaught against a new president, could very well be the key to the left bringing him down. I'm afraid that Sessions deserves every bit of criticism that's being heaped upon him.
Understand that the whole MAGA agenda is at stake here, and that one man alone, has enabled it. Even Ryan and McConnell, as despicable as they are, are not responsible for the witch hunt that's threatening to bring down Trump's presidency.
The investigation was going on before Sessions was appointed. Why aren’t Ryan and McConnell supporting the President during this investigation? They are doing the investigation to hurt Trump’s agenda. He’s not going to be impeached.

Yes. I never thought AG was good fit for him. He would have been better at some other cabinet position.
I still like Sessions. I was reading that one of the hold ups is getting several dozen Assistant AGs appointed, and this is needed to get the swamp draining into high gear.
There have been lots of arrests of Pedos and illegals are getting nailed. These Pedos are bound to be interconnected, and they will be squeezed to inform on the higher ups - so I do expect some indictments of significance this fall.
A bit too early for me to say Sessions is not doing anything. I do acknowledge that having an AG that doesn’t have to recuse himself from the Russia thing could be a positive thing though.
