Delta Airlines has fired back at Ann Coulter — revealing on Twitter how her two-day temper tantrum was over a measly $30.

“We’re sorry you did not receive the preferred seat you paid for and will refund your $30,” the company tweeted on Sunday night. SEE ALSO Delta allegedly boots Ann Coulter from reserved seat Delta allegedly boots Ann Coulter from reserved seat

“Additionally, your insults about our other customers and employees are unacceptable and unnecessary,” it said, in response to Coulter’s weekend-long Twitter rant.

I am on a flight I do all I can to help the other passengers be comfortable and the flight crew happy.

how wonderful of you, and nice of you to virtue signal here as well..

Next time you fly, pay for a first class ticket. Then give your seat to someone in coach. So they'll be comfortable and everyone will be happy.

You'll arrive at the same time as you would had you not paid for first class.

You're cool with that, right?

If it was exactly the same seat, why was there a $30 price difference according to Delta? Sounds different to me.

I’ve actually had good service with American. They’ve been on-time and honored all my upgrades. That, and my baggage has always arrived undamaged.

My wife and I flew to Spain. My luggage arrived, hers went to England. She went out and bought a few emergency items and a few cloths as American at the time could not inform her of where her luggage was or when and if it would arrive. She received no reimbursement as the luggage did arrive in 24 hours.

Delta sucks big time but not as near as bad as American Airlines.

American Airlines bumped me once off a plane from DFW to Killeen. They did not bump me but bumped my luggage do to max weight limitations on their little commuter subsidiary which was a turbo prop. The reason it was overloaded was an Air Force Sniper team on the aircraft and all their gear.

It was insane when we got to Killeen. My luggage was not there. A Sargent was most upset when only some of his teams weapons came down the luggage shute. Actually he was panicked. There was no one behind the counter at the American Airlines desk. He finally said to hell with it and went behind the counter and back in the area for receiving the luggage and his arms. I thought he would be arrested. He was not and the last thing I saw was the rest of his firearms being delivered and an American Airlines agent apologizing. My luggage was not there. I got it two days later despite the fact that American Airlines has multiple flights from DFW to Killeen every day. Did I mention that American Airlines Suck?

It was not bad service. It was harassment.

Being taller than average is a disability. Delta agreed to accommodate her disability. This is a health issue and a discrimination issue, not a $30 fee issue.

They gave no advance notice.

What would it cost for Ann to get an equivalent seat on another plane that would accommodate her physical needs and arrive on schedule? Probably tens of thousands. Not $30.

Plus damages for the Civil Rights violation.

I Fly Delta all the time, and price side with Ann on this 100%. Delta is better than this treatment, and they should find those Delta employees who caused this mess and fire them immediately.

Given the CORPORATE RESPONSE, you may want to reconsider flying with Delta...The low level employees were obnoxious, but the corporate response is outrageous and unacceptable!

We’re sorry you did not receive the preferred seat you paid for and will refund your $30,” the company tweeted on Sunday night...

“Additionally, your insults about our other customers and employees are unacceptable and unnecessary,”

Wow!

Flight staff on the plane should have given Ann an upgrade at the time. Since she did not get one, corporate should hvae given her free flights and an apology...not criticism!

Hey Delta, what is unacceptable is your service. You never once explained why Ann was displaced. Was it a Clintonite that got her seat?

My guess is the “family booked their fares later—which costs more and made $$ for airline...and the family may be “favored religion/nation” status...

I think they messed with the wrong passenger—I suspect they do this stuff all the time, but it is only because Ann has notoriety that it is being highlighted and corporate does not like it.

LOL I just knew I would see you defending the airlines...it was sooo predictable...

I am pretty sure that you did when the passenger was being dragged up the aisle on United if I recall correctly as well as the Delta first class passenger boot.

Do you work for the airlines or have major stock portfolio riding on the airline profits??? I suspect that you do.

Delta’s treatment and subsequent response to a paying passenger were both out of line and outrageous.

Shame you cannot see that...but then I am betting you have some vested interest.

Snowflakes unite!! All of the snowflakes are in a twist over this. I wonder how many of them even ever pay for the larger seat upgrade.

Jane, with all due respect, for ex. if I pay a premium for overnight shipping, I expect the package to arrive overnight. If it doesn’t, I am going to be upset... Not a matter of being a snowflake...

It is a matter that if airline screwed up and gave away a priority seat, they should have upgraded Ann or given her some compensation...instead of criticizing her :(

I have been in a similar situation to Ann, and it was not fun...very awkward. Airline made it right for me with a better seat.

I might add that Ann is tall and paid for more leg room...I screwed up my MCL from flying on long cross country flights too often over a few weeks, and it has taken 8 months to heal :( Some of us really do need extra space...I pay for extra space, and if I do, I expect airline to provide it.

Why is Ann Coulter flying coach?

What does that mean?

I believe that Timpanagos1 is a fraud. Posting history is very antagonistic and suspicious.

Clearly very pro airline some sort of vested interest...Fine but should disclose why...

Why is Ann Coulter flying coach?

Who knows??? Why does it matter?!

Perhaps there were no first class seats available when she booked?

Perhaps she likes flying coach to talk to “the folks”??

Regardless, they screwed her and their immediate response and subsequent corporate response was outrageous!

From another article.

“Delta said Coulter had originally booked a window seat and then within 24 hours of the flight’s departure, she changed it to an aisle seat on the same row. At the time of boarding, the airline said it moved Coulter to another window seat on the same row to accommodate seating requests from other passengers.”

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/16/delta-fires-back-at-ann-coulter-after-she-rages-about-seat-reassignment.html

According to Delta, Coulter was re-seated on the very same row

Nice try Delta corporate and Delta apologist...However, a window seat does not afford the same leg room as an aisle seat...TALL people would rather have the aisle...which is what she wanted and paid for.

Perhaps they should have put the shorter young lady in the wondow seat and given Ann the seat SHE PAID FOR...

They moved her to a window seat...big difference between window and aisle for a tall person.

“Exactly, she was in the seat, fully paid and some random person is allowed to displace her? WTF?”

I have seen nothing that suggests that a ‘random person’ took Ann’s seat.

The question is “Whose ticket had the Seat Number printed on it?”

If it was Ann, then it was “her seat”.

If two passengers had the same seat number printed on their tickets then Delta really, really needs to have it's IT dept. look at the seat assignment program. That software is an important part of checks on passengers for security.
