The State Department is has long been compromised – State Department careerists work for the countries they are assigned to, not to America and that’s the problem. The State Department is the problem. We need patriots and freedom lovers in state craft, not Muslim Brotherood lackeys.

The administration’s efforts, which include a proposed budget cut of nearly 30 percent, a hiring freeze and a potential reshuffling of offices within the State Department, have left scores of positions unfilled, demoralizing the staff that remain.
Past GOP presidents have also sought to cut the State Department down to size, and even current employees have acknowledged bureaucratic problems at Foggy Bottom.
But some former officials describe Trump’s efforts as something unseen before — a war of sorts on the State Department that if carried out would leave it hobbling.

Shultz would tell this story, and he said, “Every single one of them failed. But I let them go anyway.” Because whenever he spun the globe and he’d say, “I want you to put your hand on your country,” they’d always put their hand on the country that they were going out to. His point was your country is the United States.
That, unfortunately, is the image projected of the United States by people who are paid to do just that and who have a higher loyalty first to their bureaucracy and then to internationalist institutions. There was no loss of perspective on their parts because they never had one in the first place.
This is not to say that they were all deliberately anti-American although it sure looked that way from time to time. They were equally ignorant of their own country. And that's the problem. Firing the lot and putting them to work changing tires at a truck stop wouldn't hurt; replacing them with an identical mob of globalist Ivy League fantasists wouldn't help.
Every state department employee who is identified as “nervous” should be fired immediately. Enough of these anti-American compromised losers.

I’m retired but have a Master’s Degree in Information Technology which seems to be a skill set that is still in demand. Could they use guy in his late 50’s with arthritic feet?

So the mission needs to be to “substantially curtail” foreign aid, along with some serious internal budget cuts. Because it’s “no fun” for this trash to live abroad on the taxpayer’s dime when that dime is cut to a penny!

Thankfully, that wasn’t my experience working with State. It was actually more difficult and time-consuming to convince the military side (my side) to cut Foreign Military Financing to zero (from prior year’s $15 million).
All it took at State was a 20 minute briefing with the DCM and it was a done deal. I really enjoyed working with the State folks; we kept each other in the loop and backed each other up in meetings. Maybe I was just lucky.

Met a women at a Republican meeting for my county several months back.
She was Jewish, former State dept employee who was in the process of “coming out of the closet” LOL!
She was telling me the stupidity and amazing arrogance of her co-workers was through the roof. If they were other Repubs there, they hid it well. She was in a living hell for decades!
There are a lot of mind sets in the Government that need to be deconstructed and rebuilt. Including those Depts which measure success based on budget size or number of “clients”.
I can remember this being said in 1946,47,47,48,49,50,51,& 52!
Nothing significant was accomplished then, and nothing significant will be accomplished now.
The only cure for this communist pestilence is radical surgery. Shooting and burning followed by the MOAB.
