With the jury selection process underway this week for the second Bunkerville Standoff trial in Las Vegas, Attorney General Jeff Sessions was at the federal courthouse today in Las Vegas.
Courtroom observer and wife of one of the defendants on trial for the second time in the case, Andrea Parker, heard Sessions praise the way the prosecution is leading the case and then say he was not taking sides in the case.
Parker said Sessions comments spoke for themselves and to her were an endorsement of the "atrocity" of the prosecution of those accused in the standoff near Bundy Ranch in April 2014.
During this second trial the prosecution called for and the judge areeed to ban any discussion of the First or Second Amendments of the Constitution during the jury selection and trial.
Thanks, Jeff, stellar work, bro!
What other neat tricks can you do?
Wrong thing to say all the way.
He said at the end apparently that he wasn’t commenting on the case, but Sessions praised the way the prosecution was leading the case and then said he would not “pick sides”.
Well, at least we’ve located AG Sessions.
Can someone in Vegas please send him back to DC??? POTUS needs help investigating all of the DemRussiaCollusion crimes.
Isn't that in and of itself grounds for a mistrial?
Too dumb and passive to be the Attorney General we need now......
What makes you think your vanity belongs in “News”?
You write news? Really?
I assume Jeff had a bad day at the craps table and went to the court house to finagle a pay advance. Tell me you don’t believe he was actually doing his job.
Thanks for posting. We are not going to get this information from the MSM.
Sessions was the smartest/most honorable guy in the Senate. Probably says more about the other 99 than him.
Not in Judge Gloria Navarro’s “Kangaroo Court”.....
1. Commended the prosecution in the Bundy case.
2. Is not taking sides.
3. Will not comment on the case.
#1 is indefensible. He should have left it at #2 and #3.
Jeff, you are losing me quickly.
“The Trump administrations approach to public land issues has led some Bundy supporters to believe they could have an ally they did not have under former Attorney General Eric Holders Justice Department.
During his speech, Sessions praised Nevada Acting U.S. Attorney Steven Myhre for his leadership in prosecuting the Bunkerville standoff defendants, but he said that he was not going to take sides or comment on the case.”
Sessions is a little too much of a legal positivist.
Not enough natural rights, nullification, etc.
Where do you thing this jackass got it?
From his crack investigative team? No. He saw it on TV.
Recycled MSM, that's all he has.
So you’re saying that he’s basically sitting in a courtroom not taking sides and wasting our f***ing time?
STELLAR WORK, JEFF!
WHAT OTHER NEAT TRICKS CAN YOU DO?
I urge everyone to go to the video link from Andrea Parker from outside the courthouse I mentioned in post #2.
I don’t even think that the bum shows up to work.
This person has done NOTHING except to apparently recuse himself from EVERYTHING!
My post was heavy sarcasm directed right at his face.
So far, Sessions has been a major disappointment.
If were the Bundy attorney, I’d not agree to something like that. I’d put them on notice, I would file procedural objections at the highest level. (caveat follows)
Perhaps the prosecution is seeding all rights under the first and second amendments. It would seem the defense might need to utilize them at some point, but perhaps the prosecution has agreed to avoid putting them in the position to need to.
It is theoretical this might not be a problem.
You’d have to read the transcript of the proceedings that transpired to find out.
