Sen. Tim Kaine (D., Va.) told reporters on Tuesday that the Russia investigation is potentially moving into a "treason" investigation after reports surfaced of Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting with a Russian lawyer last summer.
In the wake of New York Times reports on Trump Jr. and other Trump campaign officials meeting with a Russian attorney who they believed had damaging information about Hillary Clinton, Kaine said the probe into obstruction of justice could evolve into something more serious.
"Nothing is proven yet, but we're now beyond obstruction of justice in terms of what's being investigated," Kaine said. "This is moving into perjury, false statements, and even into potentially treason."

About the only word in the English language more over-used than “treason” would be “racist”.
Would it? Maybe if we had an Attorney General who was actually worth a s**t.
At what point does it become treason when you “interfere with executive branch functionality”?
Aside from any images issues, it’s directly harming the function of the executive branch to constantly
* delay appointments
* lie about actions/policies
* make up accusations of criminal activity
Trump seems to be moving along ok. But I have to think things would be going much faster/smoother if there wasn’t a huge effort to stop him from working on the things WE elected him to do.
Not stopping him through Constitutional checks and balances of the courts and congress. But with other intentional actions to disrupt the function of the executive branch. That sounds like treason to me - they’re trying to stop the person we voted for (and one of three branches of the government) by means outside the constitution.
Someone said it was to prepare for a Civil War...the people of America have had enough of what the loony libs have been doing and getting away with and they want it over now...
Seems like people are getting fed up with the loony libs, media, Hillary, Obama, Mueller, Comey, Lynch, Brennan, Clapper, and the whole situation...

It’s so enraging because these evil anti-American baztardz are really the treasonous ones and the Obama administration as a whole could be tried for collusion with Russia, Iran, ISIS, China and we could go on. It’s just disgusting what a joke so many Republicans are that they are free to do this corrupt stuff and deflect on others.

If this has any real possibilities to it for the Democrats Paul Ryan will be announcing Articles of Impeachment. He is sharp enough he won’t do it without a perceived 90% chance of success but when he gets thee he will do it. He wants to dump Trump but he doesn’t want to chance losing his job for appearing as a national traitor and fool.

Also, he might want to notice, Treason is defined as assisting an enemy, or making war on the United States. Last I checked Russia has no status of “enemy”. We are not at war. Also, this “treason” by law needs to be witnessed by two people or be confessed.
