NEW YORK (AP) — MSNBC host and former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough says he’s leaving the GOP.
The “Morning Joe” co-host has become a sharp critic of President Donald Trump.
Scarborough said Tuesday during an interview with CBS “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert that “I’ve got to become an independent.”
He appeared as a guest with his co-host and fiance, Mika Brzezinski, who recently was attacked in sharply personal terms by the president.
Scarborough says it’s inexplicable why so many Republicans look the other way when Trump says or does something that betrays the party’s core values.
He told Colbert that “I am a Republican but I’m not going to be a Republican anymore.”
Scarborough was elected to four terms in Congress from Florida starting in 1994.

I’ve seen zero indication that Scarborough cares at all about the core values of the Republican party. For a while now, he’s been one of the worst of the establishment, globalist, Cultural Marxist propaganda pushers on TV. I can’t see any significant difference between him and the openly leftist commentators. I think he has been a traitor to his own beliefs for fame and money, but at least he’s dropping the disgusting pretense of being a Republican now.

Ya, somebody told me that “Morning Joe” is conservative, even though on a liberal network, because Joe was a Republican Congressman.
I think it’s sort of funny, that this “Republican” goes into the media, pairs up with a liberal co host, and now, we see, he’s really liberal. What the heck???
Did Mika make him do it??? Was the price of his getting in with Mika, a public declaration of his political independence, that he must disavow his Republican party???

I’m thinking of leaving the Republican party also. So many of them are not supporting the President I voted for.
Who cares? Visions of Hobson, the butler, saying he’ll alert the media after Arthur says he’s going to take a bath. Thankfully, our cable company doesn’t have MSNBC. Now, if only they’d eliminate CNN.
FYI, Mika really NEEDED that facelift. She's an attractive gal (with odious politics) but her face looked pretty old by her mid-40s. To snare Joe and wrap him around her little finger, she needed both a new face and some good kneepads.

In truth, I don't think their marriage will survive the show. And, like Olbermann, their show is not long for this world now that they have lost all semblance of objectivity.
