MSNBC’s Scarborough says he’s leaving GOP (Video at Link)

NEW YORK (AP) — MSNBC host and former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough says he’s leaving the GOP.

The “Morning Joe” co-host has become a sharp critic of President Donald Trump.

Scarborough said Tuesday during an interview with CBS “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert that “I’ve got to become an independent.”

He appeared as a guest with his co-host and fiance, Mika Brzezinski, who recently was attacked in sharply personal terms by the president.

Scarborough says it’s inexplicable why so many Republicans look the other way when Trump says or does something that betrays the party’s core values.

He told Colbert that “I am a Republican but I’m not going to be a Republican anymore.”

Scarborough was elected to four terms in Congress from Florida starting in 1994.

He has his nose so far up the a** of Mika that he wouldn’t know the difference between a Republican and a Democrat or a Liberal and a Conservative.

Why is Joe Scarburro worth discussing?

It’s like the local news showing up to cover my dog taking a dump in the backyard.

I’m an American and will always be an American. I vote as an American and have always voted as an American. Unfortunately political hacks in numerous States have gone and F*%#ked up the system to try an benefit one political party or the other. I am registered Republican because you must be registered either as a Republican or a Democrat to vote in Pennsylvania primary’s. That sucks! As a citizen I should be able to vote in all elections, primary’s or other.

With the exception of a portion of the category “Conservative,” there isn’t any substantial difference.

What are the known facts and unanswered questions surrounding the death of Lori Klausutis?

Perhaps, Joe can run a series on this topic.

And on top of this, an NBC talent goes to rival CBS to make this announcement?

Scarborough says it’s inexplicable why so many Republicans look the other way when Trump says or does something that betrays the party’s core values.

Because of the 10 core values, such as lower taxes, smaller government, and encouraging the growth of business, he is protecting those values more than betraying them. And he is doing a better job than repubs in congress.

He told Colbert that “I am a Republican but I’m not going to be a Republican anymore.”

He was never a Republican but always lived in a delusional world of his own imagination.

As a citizen I should be able to vote in all elections, primary’s or other.

You can.

Primaries are not elections; they are private organizational proceedings. Recall that the parties even have their state primaries at different times.

Only special elections to fill Congressional vacancies, general elections, and runoff elections to reach majority are true elections that are held at one time in a state.
