One third to one half the working age Mexican population is illegally in the U.S. Absurd.
Did you ever see those “after man” faux documentaries on Discovery Channel or National Geographic? Some enterprising, patriotic filmmaker should do a similar program about “after illegals (are gone).”

Cheap, illegal-alien labor has slowed down adoption of automation. The jobs that illegals have been doing, from everything from berry picking down to mowing lawns, can now be done by robots, and more cheaply than even illegal immigrants.
Millions of American-born gardeners, carpenters, field workers, and factory workers would get a raise or a job.

Good point. I remember when the commonly accepted number of illegals was 35 million. Then overnight it changed to 11 million. In reality, no one knows how many are here, but it would be a good exercise to count them on their way out.
And then one entitled "After democRATs are Gone".

I am very suspicious of this. It reads like one of those rants that we all want to hear and are attributed to a known person only to learn it was crafted but a nobody. Another reason I am dubious is the Rocky Mountain News went out of business almost 10 years ago (2009). Tina Griego is also a liberal columnist. She has a Hispanic name. Do you think she would really write this?

A multiple of 20 million indigent people around the world could be helped in their respective countries of origin for the same number of dollars expended by taxpayers on these 20 million in the US.
Great for them, not so for us.
We already have Puerto Rico. That isn't working out very well.
We take in Mexico, now ALL the Mexicans become US citizens. Mexico's unemployment becomes our unemployment.
Mexico's crime becomes our crime.
Mexico's illiteracy becomes our illiteracy.
The goal of NAFTA is to pave the way for one regional government, from Canada to Central America.
It does not benefit the US at all.
