Oregon Poised To Decriminalize Meth, Cocaine And Heroin

The Oregon legislature passed two bills Thursday decriminalizing small amounts of six hard drugs, including cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and ecstasy.

The first of the two bills now headed to the governor’s desk, HB 2355, decriminalizes possession of the drugs so long as the offender has neither a felony nor more than two prior drug convictions on record, according to the Lund Report. The second, HB 3078, reduces drug-related property crimes from felonies to misdemeanors.

Republican State Sen. Jackie Winters claimed the war on drugs as it currently exists amounts to “institutional racism” due to how more frequently minorities are charged with drug crimes than whites.

More destruction of society. Horrible. Gotta keep the masses drugged up. Never thought I would live long enough to see this goal come true. Yet here I am.

California already did this in 2014. Prop 47, voted in by the idiots that live here. Now your local junkie is living on the sidewalk instead of in jail.

Is Oregon seeking an unfair advantage for the Jailblazers over the rest of the NBA?

Being under a doctor’s supervision can be pretty dangerous all by itself.

“I support decriminalization of marijuana. But this Oregon idea is just bat shit crazy.”

Perhaps then you’ll start understanding the ‘slippery slope’ that we always talk about here - which is when you give the liberals in inch, they’ll then reach for a mile. So we give them weed...and now they want the hard stuff. What moral basis do we now have to oppose them? Answer: None.

No different than gun control. Do you REALLY think that the Left will simply walk away from the issue once we agree to background checks at gun shows? Of course not...they will not their march until guns, knives, pepper spray, baseballs, and just about anything else that could be perceived as a weapon is OUTLAWED, at least in regard to law-abiding citizens.

So we give them weed...and now they’re back for more. We gave them gay marriage...now they want men in girls’ locker rooms...and next is legalized pedophilia. Either we fight them up front, or we simply lose later. No different than in the 1930s when everyone thought appeasing Hitler would result in world peace.

I’m all for decriminalization of all drugs - but only if full responsibility for consequences is put on the user

No public aid of any kind, not even narcan, when their life hits the skids.

you can’t have freedom without responsibility. The two must be tightly linked.

Well, we've already hit the brainless, meaningless, just a basic activity sex--

Honestly, if I knew it was going to unravel this fast, I wouldn't have brought kids into this mess.

What are your chances of making it into a adulthood as a functioning, stable, clear thinking individual? It's like trying to navigate a massively filled mine field.

The wife, half of a couple renting from me, can’t be trusted with five dollars in cash. Several times, the rent, despite her husband’s perplexed lack of comprehension, has been fifty dollars short between him and delivery. Now, he comes along despite not being able to drive (DUI) so the money actually gets to me. Last time she shouted from the car, “don’t give it all away!” He yelled back, in front of the kids, “Crazy bitch! Do you want us to be homeless?” In point of fact, she has demonstrated the answer is, yes, if I can get high one more time.

Between the month I met her and when they moved in, I hardly recognized her she’d lost so much weight. When I googled her name and “arrest,” she had, a month after moving in, been arrested and charged with grand theft. I presume this is why she isn’t currently unemployed and spends all her time at home with their kids. Except, when, the family takes the children away. The only thing that still looks firmly padded and pleasantly round on her are her artificial breasts. They have gotten more prominent and less believable as time progresses.

Meh, given how over prescribed opioids are heroin is already functionally legal. And of course the “battle” against meth has had retarded consequences likely functionally outlawing sudafed. Really the punchline of it all is that the WOD has failed, miserably. At least if you think the WOD was about fighting drugs. 50 years and usage hasn’t dropped a damn bit. Of course if you look at the damage to the Bill of Rights and drastic increase of government power it’s been a roaring success.

Maybe that’s why they’re ending it. No more Constitution left to shred. Now they want to have a big party to celebrate, but they apparently want some coke at the party.
