GOP LAWMAKER ACCUSES CNN OF COERCION AND BLACKMAIL!
CNN reported today that they declined to publicly identify the Reddit user who created the Trump CNN wrestling video because he promised not to do it again.
CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski then went on to say, “CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.”
That is extortion.
CC threatened to dox him.

Just one observation; the leash they attempted to apply wasn’t legal. At best, coercion. More likely, blackmail...and it is all over Twitter that the GIF producing “man” in question is, in fact, a 15 year old boy. Oh yes. CNN contacted him and threatened him, first.

Wasn’t it CNN that accused this person as an anti-Semite for some of his previous posts? Now hey want to protect his name? Something sounds fishy.
There are plenty of ways to fight back. Activism works two ways. Every time you go into a bar or other public space if CNN is on, once served just walk out. If enough folks start doing that these places that have CNN on will turn it off. If it is on in the airport, spit on the TV. Eventually the airport will get tired of having to clean off the TV.

There has been a wave going through the force. If CNN thinks that the reddit/4chan world is going to stand idly by and let them threaten a teenagers they are even dumber than I though and that will be a new low on the dumb scale.

Yes, and it’s still blackmail if they only backed off because he gave in to their demand. The media in this country has become beyond arrogant-they think they are the power behind the throne, so to speak. They really need to be cut back down to size.
I hope you’re correct. From the little I’ve heard, Reddit/4chan users are pretty good at firing back at people/entities who mess with them.
That would be the port calling the kettle black since the press is probably the most anti-Semitic group of people on the planet. Not to mention that using that as an excuse would be not only wrong, but just plain stupid. Anti-Islamic perhaps, but how could they make the leap to anti-Semitic?
