President Trump is changing the norms that empower his media antagonists
American Thinker ^ | 30 June 2017 | Thomas Lifson

As usual, President Trump is outraging the political-media establishment, who all assume that his early-morning tweets yesterday zinging the Morning Joe odd couple, "hitting back ten times as hard," as wife Melania once characterized his tactical doctrine, were the result of some form of derangement. They are not equipped to understand the strategy that lies behind his tweets. Like fish unaware of the water in which they swim, they operate on the basis of unconscious beliefs.

President Trump understands that the current informal-but-very-real rules of the game have allowed Mika and Joe (and the rest of the media-political world as well) free rein to savage him and his family, while he is supposed to be a gentleman and just take it while they get support for attacking him.

Trump understands that the culture governing D.C. and the media has to change because it systematically favors his opponents. They set the rules, and those rules give the media the ability to call the shots, and the media overwhelmingly oppose him. Media criticism cows Republicans into submission and boosts the causes of the left.

That photo floors me.

All the feminist who are claiming Trump dissed a woman! (even Mika says she wasn’t offended) and yet you see this. How does she claim to be a serious female journalist or even commentator and pose for a photo like that?.

One is forced to conclude her vanity is stronger than her desire to be taken seriously as a political commentator.

The media needs to understand something. They are colluding with the Democrats and the Federal Agencies in an attempt to get Donald Trump impeached or somehow force him to resign. I have friends who work in a VERY large Federal Agency and they say this is all just the beginning, a "process" they call it that will continue until Trump is out of office. And, they say it with total confidence which chills me to the bone.

Be careful what you wish for. The media especially apparently has miscalculated not only the end result of the recent Presidential elections, but also the absolute (fill in the blank with the most intense dislike word you can come up with) that the general public has for them. Dear Media, if you succeed, you could lose everything. If you lose, you MUST be sued for libel for the printed word and slander for what you only said in public that was not true.

There is no way at all that this whole thing can just be dropped or end well. It's impossible now. Either one side wins, or the other side wins and whoever loses has hell to pay. The liberal leftists have pushed the stakes so high that they have left no room for compromise. We now know you want to kill us and you most certainly want to kill our leaders. There exists no doubt when we have examples like Alec Baldwin saying as far back as 1998 that the people should stone Henry Hyde AND his wife and children to death and then went on to say the Republican congressmen should also be assassinated. Others have put rifle scope cross hairs on Bush. Others have PUBLICLY stated their intent to assassinate Trump. Then, Kathy Griffin pulled the severed head stunt.

There is no going back now. Either you accomplish that or someone with enough influence and "House b__lls big enough" (pardon my French) is going to go after you because we KNOW you want us dead now. How foolish to have pushed it this far. Stop and think about how foolish all of the lying has been. Mark my words (whether they leave them here or not), someone is going to pay dearly for this entire mess if not all of us. Sooner or later, momma always said, "Everyone has to sit down at a banquet of consequences."

He’s only half right that this is changing the media dymanic.

What he still doesn’t get is “cheese in the maze,” that the tweets are deliberate snipe hunts to occupy the media so they NEVER focus on what he’s actually doing.

Yesterday, I counted seven major achievements, none of which got much attention at all. But that’s good. The American people will know who to credit. And it ain’t the Dems or fake news.

Iconoclast. Change agent. Edgy. Pushes boundaries. Thinks outside the box.

Wait. I thought those were good things? Oh, only when perpetrated by progressives?

WTH?

He’s playing the media like an accordion. He’s quietly implementing his first and most controversial policy, the visa ban from the six countries, and the media only talks about a tweet. By the time they’ve noticed it’ll be in place and working.

Those condemning the tweets will NEVER be taken seriously until they condemn the unprofessional behavior of those in the media. Hypocrisy has no integrity! Conservatives have been called racists, bigots, killers, nazis, misogynists, etc. for 25 years or more. The left wins every time a conservative bends over backward trying to defend these baseless allegations. Winning means being on the offensive, not the defensive.

This is the best thing he could have don’t for Joe and Mija. He raised there ratings and made them relevant. What kind of backroom deal did they strike to get this enormous gift from Trump? Notice, Trump didn’t say anything they didn’t want him to - he didn’t mention how Scarborough’s intern murder was covered up.

In the last couple of days we have seen CNN failing, the Russian investigation is falling apart, Mueller is taking hits. Unfortunately, I think that Trumps tweet was a gift to them….a distraction they needed. :-(

She attacks him, he hits back, and the Left cites it as proof he “attacks women.”

While the arrogant liberal politicos have forgotten the wisdom taught them in childhood, President Trump remembers that sticks and stones might break your bones, but words will never harm you. So when the left shoots zingers at him, it doesn't phase him. But when he shoots back, he draws blood because the progressives believe that name-calling has value so they get hurt.

Besides the snipe hunts and at least 7 major achievements, I wonder if someone will get fired or filleted by their own past criminal activities before today or the weekend is over.

Can you imagine the morning show hosts at Fox News posing for a photo like this, let alone acquiesing to the network PR mavens distributing it to the World? I can just hear the howls of feminist outrage, and they would have a point.

But this degrading photo of the MSNBC morning team is met with a deafening conspiracy of silence, even from erstwhile stablemate Rachel Maddow.
