A senior Iranian leader and confidant of the Islamic Republic’s president is threatening to “depose” President Donald Trump if he continues his policy of confronting Iran and its terror proxy groups in the Middle East, according to recent comments that come as Iranian military leaders threaten missile strikes on U.S. forces and bases in the region.
Mostafa Tajzadeh, a leading Iranian politician and ally to President Hassan Rouhani, claimed this week that the Trump administration is too “fragile” to confront Iran and that if U.S. officials do “anything unwise against Iran,” the Islamic Republic will see that Trump is “deposed,” according to Farsi-language comments independently translated for the Washington Free Beacon. Iran has chosen to confront the Trump administration, both militarily and diplomatically, as the U.S. levels new sanctions and punitive measures against Tehran for its continued use of illicit ballistic missiles and funding of terrorism.
Tajzadeh appeared to up the stakes in a tweet endorsing efforts to see Trump thrown out of office.
“Trump’s presidency is so fragile that if he does anything unwise against Iran, if we react smartly, instead of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is Trump who will be deposed,” the Iranian official tweeted, according to a translation of his remarks. …

The truth, of course, is the exact opposite. US/Israeli relations are better now than they have been in a decade. Meanwhile Trump has lined up the gulf states and SA as a bulwark against Iran and Turkey. How many presidents could pull this off in five months?
The Iranians have been tweaking the beard of Uncle Sam for almost 40 years and only back off when they are confronted with force of arms. They will continue tweaking until they are slapped down.
My hope is that a massive cruise missile strike will be launched against the next Iranian towel head general conference.
We need to give a new meaning to “islamic decapitation.”
Let me add another hope: Our former POTUS, Bush, tried to be nice and not wage war against the populace, as in WWII, in Iraq and Afghanistan. He gave them the opportunity for democracy and self rule at a great cost of blood and treasure. We now know that doesn’t work, and have a POTUS who will unleash our military until the job is done....and then leave. No nation building. No fixing broken stuff. Just a big warning not to mess with us.

Obama was just fine accommodating Russia’s interests in the region. That is, until he needed someone to blame for the 2016 election results.
With Trump, we are willing to accommodate Russia, but this is conditioned on Russia cooperating with us. We don’t have to be friends. But, both of us have interests, and the give and take in our relations must be a two-way street. Obama was a fool and Putin played him like a fool. Putin will respect Trump, if he doesn’t already.
