Title says BALLISTIC missile. Contents of article say it’s a GUIDED missile.
Also, I don’t see what is so difficult about launching a truck mounted GUIDED missile from the truck while it is perched on some kind of flattop ship.
Ballistic missiles can be guided as well in modern terminology. :P ICBMs are ballistic missiles with guidance and have been for decades.
Look at my post above for why it’s concerning. They’re planning on dismounting the system from the truck and encasing it in a shipping container, which is similar to what the Russians are already doing. However, shipboard launch of such missiles has been a problem in the past - the motion of the ship upsets the gyros in the missile.
