THE BIG IDEA: With all the ballots counted, Republican Karen Handel won the most expensive House race in U.S. history by 3.8 percentage points. Thats a larger margin of victory than the 1.5 points that Donald Trump carried Georgias 6th Congressional District by last November.
Handel even wound up winning by a greater margin than the GOP candidate in an unexpectedly close special election to replace OMB Director Mick Mulvaney in South Carolina that had not been on the national radar.

This was formerly Newt’s seat. It would’ve been a major feather in the cap of the dems. They would then have been able to mention how Trump’s agenda was rejected by a conservative district.

1. SC election not competitive.
2. Rats poured $40 million from out of state into Ossoff, making it the most expensive House election in U.S. history. Rats staked everything on this one. If Ossoff had won, then enemedia would have forever crowed that that proved Trump was doomed, etc.
Psst, Dems, please waste your money in 2018 and to do a great job (of wasting your money), start today... Hollywood will gladly waste money on losers.
