I swear by the Melitta type drip through method. Excellent quality. A little bit of work, one must heat and pour the water manually.
My mom used to have one of these that she used for her single cup. The method is similar to what I’ve tried. I have one of those things that sits on the cup’s top rim, and has a cup in it to hold the grains. I’ve poured hot water through it, and let the whole cup part steep in the coffee. It didn’t taste very good to me. Maybe the Melitta type might produce better results. Thanks for your suggestion, Cboldt. I will definitely consider this idea too ~ it’s so easy! : )
