Michigan Wolverines football coach Jim Harbaugh spent some time with former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama earlier this week. He hopes to be getting more face time with them this fall.
Harbaugh said he will ask the Obamas to serve as honorary captains for a Wolverines home game this season.
"We're making those asks. Official asks," Harbaugh told reporters Saturday. "In the process of making an official ask. There's been, 'Hey, we'd like you to do it,' and now we're doing official asks."
Harbaugh said he spent "39 wonderful minutes" with the former president Wednesday during a visit to Washington, D.C.

Seeing that many of the teams are government institutions, that’s going to be difficult. Colleges and universities are not our allies. Unless you or your children are attending them, there is no reason to support them whatsoever, except by forced taxation.
Things do not happen this way.
Harbaugh would not openly announce that he plans to ask (you-know-their-names) that he will ask them.

One highly suspects that they leaned on the obedient Harbaugh to invite them. (It's like the Clinton's used to do.)
Well, the Obama’s current roommate, Valerie Jarrett, is a Michigan graduate. So is that guy from their old neighborhood, Bill Ayers.
How do you grow up in a football family and its culture and associate with snowflakes and social justice warriors. Football coaches and players are generally conservative.
Your right, and remember during the protest of Obama on campus a eighty year old priest was forced to the ground, handcuffed, and taken to jail. Notre Dame will never again win a National Championship in football until they admit their wrongdoings.
