I recall it was described as White House physician.
The normal hospital infection would be the least of my concerns at the moment.
Hundreds of thousands of people are admitted to even one hospital in a year’s time. Contrary to what folks would have us believe, 80-90% of them don’t come down with massive infections and die.
That description was very graphic -- hundreds of fragments inside him. Just awful.
A fellow I used to visit at Walter Reed received small bits of shrapnel in the face, and he was pulling out bits that had worked their way to the surface for months. He used to joke that he should sleep on a magnet. In Scalise's case, they can't work their way out so easily.
Their is a physicians office in one of the corners of the White House. Saw it on the map.

I have the greatest respect for first responders and trauma teams at Level I facilities. They are simply the best! God has guided the hands of these fine physicians, nurses, technicians without a doubt! Prayers for all involved continue

Considering Dr Sava’s account of Scalise’s condition when he arrived at MedStar, to report the good news that he was able is nothing short of stunning.
BTW: he also said the care of Scalise by the anesthesiologist was “truly amazing” and contributed greatly to his present condition.
I would have liked to have known more of that, but no one asked a follow-up question on that part of his statement.
He has to be hurting like heck. Anytime the bone structure is involved it is painful.
I had a room mate in the ward I was in who had his hips crushed from a tree felling accident and he was in one world of hurt. It was so that they moved me to another room. Felt bad for the guy.
Do you have any idea who Sava is? If you did, you would be skocked in horror.
And yes, he would be expected to do this turnaround because the heat is on him now. Letting Scalise go under would risk bringing out the full horror show.
Don't know that he is Trump's official White House physician.

You aren’t kidding that this could have been serious. It is conceivable that 10% of all the Republican federal politicians could have been wiped from our country. We were waaaayy too close to a major a burden on our democracy.

I watched it and really thought that the Medical Director was professional, concise and an all around good guy.
After hearing that the prognosis was good ie. able to run, I was wondering why none of the press asked if Steve would be able to play second base next year as the team needs a lot of help.
Yes, he was the Seth Rich guy that showed up and took over the trauma ward while security guys cordoned off the ward and restricted access, saying it was a ‘VIP’. The usual staff had to wait outside.
There were reports that S. Rich came in sitting up and talking on the phone. Hours later he was dead and his organs harvested.
Now again, the first eye witnesses reported Scalise was in good shape when he entered, but Sava states the opposite, that he was critical, near death. He also says everyone has a different medical definition of the term ‘critical’; I assure you that the term is not broad, it is narrow in meaning.
Even the President gave an immediate statement about the shooting, and he stated that Steve would survive. Yet Sava, said he was near death.
Then, the President sent over his own physician to oversee what was going on. Suddenly, we have Sava, hesitatingly stating that Scalise is not so bad off after all.
See any red flags here?
There’s a lot more to this but I will wait until the dust settles a bit, suffice to say that Sava is a democrat Deep State clean-up guy if you get my drift.
Is Scalise in the same hospital where Seth Rich died?
