No, he didn’t “lie”. You are lying to say so. Bigly.

You *neverTrumpers shoot off your mouth and have virtually no quote, no evidence, no nothing on hand to prove your version of open slander, misinformation, innuendo and BS against Trump.

The article later admits that Trump has been saying this since he was elected. The headline is a lie. He never said he would Deport the dreamers. Never. They are just trying to spin a policy which they agree with in a way that will alienate Trump supporters.

Ridiculous. Try to keep up.

Ivanka couldn’t spell the word “illegal immigration” when Trump, out on the campaign trail, was already giving chapter and verse on dealing with it.

“Trump lied. He promised over and over during the election that he would and amnesty. “

Stop it!!! President Trump did not lie!! He started to walk back this part of the amnesty issue very early in the campaign because it is politically impossible to round up children that have been told they can stay and deport them.

DAPA is gone..dead and buried, so there will be no more anchor babies.

Stop lying about this issue...it’s exactly what the MSM and the Dems want you to do ... freak out about a non issue. There is less than 1 million of these immigrants and many will go back to their home countries with their parents.

STOP LYING!!!

“We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties, in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants,” Trump said during a speech in Phoenix in August. “In a Trump Administration, all immigration laws will be enforced. As with any law enforcement activity, we will set priorities. But, unlike this Administration, no one will be immune or exempt from enforcement — and ICE and Border Patrol officers will be allowed to do their jobs.”

—Lying Donald

“Anyone who has entered the United States illegally is subject to deportation — that is what it means to have laws and to have a country.”

The entire /immigration/ page was pulled from donaldjtrump.com sometime between Feb. 8-Feb. 10, 2017

Donald J. Trump’s 10 Point Plan to Put America First

1. Begin working on an impenetrable physical wall on the southern border, on day one. Mexico will pay for the wall.

2. End catch-and-release. Under a Trump administration, anyone who illegally crosses the border will be detained until they are removed out of our country.

3. Move criminal aliens out day one, in joint operations with local, state, and federal law enforcement. We will terminate the Obama administration’s deadly, non-enforcement policies that allow thousands of criminal aliens to freely roam our streets.

4. End sanctuary cities.

5. Immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties. All immigration laws will be enforced - we will triple the number of ICE agents. Anyone who enters the U.S. illegally is subject to deportation. That is what it means to have laws and to have a country.

6. Suspend the issuance of visas to any place where adequate screening cannot occur, until proven and effective vetting mechanisms can be put into place.

7. Ensure that other countries take their people back when we order them deported.

8. Ensure that a biometric entry-exit visa tracking system is fully implemented at all land, air, and sea ports.

9. Turn off the jobs and benefits magnet. Many immigrants come to the U.S. illegally in search of jobs, even though federal law prohibits the employment of illegal immigrants.

10. Reform legal immigration to serve the best interests of America and its workers, keeping immigration levels within historic norms.

Exactly.

Trump said it was, in some cases, a hard decision, but that there are laws. He also said that in certain cases we could work out something and said many could be deported but be expedited right back in. Remember that?

It was called I think “touch back”, is that right? At least in media reports it was referred to as something close to that.

“PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: You’re going to have to.”

Stop it. You know damn well he can’t deport 800,000 kids. Many will leave with their parents. DAPA is over and the border is getting so tight that you will not see any more parents dragging their infants over the border to use as anchor babies.

Team Trump has handled this issue very smartly. Only idiots would claim he broke a campaign promise when he has been saying for over a year that he would not deport them.

You are part of the problem!!!!

It’s as I said.

DACA is a small target and VERY costly to attack right now.

It can wait until the big, easy targets that are an IMMEDIATE danger are out of the way.

But try telling that to the Veruca Salt conservatives on this thread. Sheesh.

Trump lied. He promised over and over during the election that he would and amnesty. Everyone made excuses since the election when he did not honor his promise. What say you now that his promise is proven a lie?

President Trump is doing a great job—especially on the issue of immigration—so waxing hysterical about "lies" strikes me as sheer #NeverTrump sour grapes.

The American People could never hope for a better President with better policies.

So if you want to disparage President Trump in order to indulge your #NeverTrump impulses, maybe you should try to keep things in perspective, instead of engaging in petty nitpicking with respect to immigration policy, which—beyond an doubt—the President is handling in an exemplary manner.

The President hasn't kept every single campaign promise he made? OMG! That's never happened before! The sky is falling!

How about focusing on what the President has accomplished and giving him some credit? I never seem to hear much from you on that...

For your information, I am a contributor to FR. Further, I asked a simple question. You, obviously do not want to answer the question so instead or simply being uninformed, rude, and boorish.

Whatever you say - Chicken Little.

I guess that saying, "He lied" is a question in your vernacular....of course, this was based on a false memory and the last question presumed the lie.

You should apply at the WaaaaaPo and/or NYSlimes....

How often does one have to donate to be considered a "contributor"? - That's a question.....

Donate to FR

and show me and others we misread you....some folks deserve to be treated rudely and boorishly - I can see I ain't the only rude boor on FR on FR....

It’s true this is in line with what he said on the campaign trail, but he also did say the following, apparently at a speech in Phoenix last year:

“We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties, in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants.”

Apparently he gave this on Aug 31, 2016. If you search for that whole sentence above you’ll find multiple sites that all link to the same site back at donaldjtrump.com, which is this one https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/donald-j.-trump-address-on-immigration

But as you can see it now returns a 404 error. But it’s unlikely all these disparate sources would all link to the same wrong website at donaldjtrump.com. It’s probably been taken down for the backlash it might produce. One could question where is the transcript of his speech on Aug 31, if not there?

Regardless that quote above, which is most likely accurate, shows he promised to recind both DACA and DAPA. Those are the two “illegal executive amnesties” Trump spoke about and everyone at the time understood to be referring to.

It’s true he said multiple times things like he’s “going after the criminals” and “we have to have a heart” and “we will let the good ones stay”. However he also promised to rescind DACA and DAPA. He has done so for DAPA, but obviously intends to keep DACA at this point, which is factually in contradiction to what he promised.

Even to be heartlessly pragmatic...

DACA is not an issue that we need to care about right now. It’s too emotionally intense, too difficult to implement, and the capital, resources, and goodwill required to end it AT THE MOMENT could be far better spent getting the drug dealers, welfare leeches, and cheap labor OUT of the country.

The Veruca Salts on this thread seem to think that the President is a dictator and can do whatever the hell he wants with no consequences.

I can’t believe that they’re citing THIS propaganda as if it were credible too.

Jeez.

Enforce existing law. DACA is not a law, it is not an Executive Order, it’s an “Executive Action” - which is Obama’s decree. He said it himself, “if Congress won’t act I will”. The dictator is out yet his edict remains. Trump is breaking a major major campaign promise.

If he can’t do it then why did he say it? If he can’t deport 800k how does he plan on deporting over 12 million illegals?

Next you’re going to tell me we aren’t going to get a wall or that Mexico won’t be paying for it.

A promise delayed does not mean a promise broken.

What would you do? Trump repeals this program AT THIS POINT, and what does he give up in exchange?

1: Deporting felons.
2: Deporting ‘refugees.’
3: Chunks of ICE dedicated to border security in order to go after them.
4: Support from squishy Rs in Congress, which costs us:
4a: Obamacare repeal.
4b: Tax reform.
4c: Supreme Court nominees.
4d: Lower court nominees.

The President is not a dictator and he can’t break the laws of thermodynamics either; he has LIMITED resources and has to choose how to dedicate them.
