How long do we have?? My out look for the future...[vanity]

Thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts for a minute...

I've been watching the signs for decades. Piecing together cause and effect. Watching and being vigilant to keep my family safe from what I know is coming.

I've been saying for years now, mark my words, the sign to watch for, is when you see armed groups actively guarding communities, then the social breakdown will spiral rapidly out of control. The country as a whole, will end up being like Chicago.

To clarify, the groups guarding the communities aren't the problem, it's the reasons they feel it's necessary to do so that's the problem.

Then communities will start banning together for security.

Don't get caught unprepared.

All it takes is a group of those antifa nuts to shut down a highway and the stores will run out of food in a single day.

This situation with the left in this country will only get worse. Is it still theoretical when you see it playing out right in front of our faces? It's happening people.

Personally, I have a food storage and I have a really huge garden. I bought 300 additional quart jars for canning this year. We add to our storage every time we get groceries. So yes, I truly believe this is going to happen and it's not just words to me.

How much time do we have before the leftist force this reality on us?

So, if you haven't done so, PLEASE take a moment to commit to work on getting prepared. Just a little at a time is all it takes, an extra can of something you like to eat every time you go to the store. Put in a closet if that's all the space you have. I'm not kidding.

If you are prepared for the worst, good for you! Now help your neighbor get prepared. Tell other Freepers what you've done!

Here is Texas, where I choose to live, I would need a deep well to have my own source of water. Then, I would need electricity to power the pump to get the water out.

Texas is nice.

I’ll second that...in fact; we will probably take a few days to wander back thru that area around the fourth.

My wife and I got seven delicious pies out of a 20-pound candy roaster last year. I can survive just fine on pie. :-)

If you feel like splurging and want to stay overnight, try the Old Edwards Inn in Highlands. They have a variety of guest rooms, cottages in town, even a really grand house or two sitting on top of the cliffs outside town.

About Vienna sausage:
I love the stuff! However, the sodium and preservative content is OUTRAGEOUS!

When I had dental work some time back, I reacquainted myself with the baby food aisle. There is a product called “Chicken Stix” or some such, which is low sodium vienna sausages in glass jars. About 100 calories in a jar, FWIW. They actually taste decent too.

If the hotlink doesn't work, then cut and paste into your browser :

I have noticed the number of additives in Long Term Storage Food supplies as well.
After notifying several companies of my concerns, I have had virtually "no feedback" from them.
With the increase in the number of diabetics, and/or the number of borderline diabetics, one would think that someone would want to fulfill that market need (?).
Thus far,... Baazinga ! ..Nada !

I thought I mentioned that those who like vienna sausage should look at the GERBER BABY FOOD CHICKEN STIX. The sodium levels, etc are reasonable. One jar is a 100 calorie portion. FWIW

I have had similar concerns about all the prepackaged long term storage foods on the market.
