Some call the Georgia Democrat "a moderate Republican." Others say he's a serious progressive dressed up as a centrist. One thing's for sure: Ossoff has become a Rorschach test for a desperate, divided party.
The beleaguered Democratic Party may finally have cause for hope in the Trump era. According to the latest polling, Jon Ossoff is poised to win the special House election against Karen Handel in Georgias historically Republican Sixth Congressional District. His election would be the first major electoral victory this year for Democrats, who lost two earlier special elections, and would be a testament to his massive fundraising haul, the organization of the nationwide anti-Trump resistance, and the candidates apparently shrewd political strategy.
But even as Democrats are largely united in rooting for Ossoff, theres no clear consensus among themor among the mediaon what his victory would mean for the broader party, especially as it pertains to the persistent rift between its progressive and centrist wings. Theres not even any consensus on where, precisely, Ossoff resides on that political spectrum. Which is why Ossoffs campaign has become a political Rorschach test of sorts, revealing more about observers motivations and the partys divisions than it does about the candidate himself.

I have made two donations to Karen”s campaign in trying to defeat this worthless pos.
...was Russians!
The Georgia Democrat “a moderate Republican,” a serious progressive, and a centrist.
In other words, he’s willing to tell voters anything they want to hear. He a wolf that wears sheep’s clothing when appropriate.
I am not as confident that he loses. I am not so sure of the district or the strength of the republican candidate. I don’t live anywhere around there so I really don’t know.
Didn’t we learn 2 things, if nothing else in the last election?
1. Jeb Bush showed us spending tens of millions didn’t help.
2. Polls were bought and paid for and totally unreliable.
There are no centrist Democrats.
There is no fight between centrist and leftist Democrats. ALL Dems are hate-filled Communists now.
GA has gone from Sam Nunn - patriot - to this mamby pamby liberal. wow
Karen Handel is a really poor candidate. Not very winsome at all. But much better than the phony Ossoff, who sounds like he’s been standing in front of the mirror practicing old Obama speeches. His voice is so annoying, his personality so pompous. I’d vote for Karen Handel if I could. She’s still a lousy candidate.
This is exactly what he is doing. It worked for Obuttboy. By not revealing his true beliefs, and saying multiple things, he became a blank sheet for anyone who wanted to vote for him. Besides, he was clean, and articulate, too.
There are always fights between factions, though. The history of the Communist Party USA, and Russia pre WWII is factions fighting, not about policy or ideology but about Lenin’s famous question, “Who, Whom?”
I hope in 24 hours we can relegate this guy to the dustbin of history.
With any luck, the winning faction will finally allow Communism to be implemented by the “right people”.
Mystery?
More like MONEY, MONEY, MONEY!
The left is dumping everything to get this anemic looking phony elected.
All to feel good about themselves, all to try and play head games.
As if a win for him translates into something more ominous for Trump and congress. Drama queens.
Sounds like members of the GOPe who claim to be conservative. Sarcasm? Maybe, maybe not.

>This is not Georgia, this is Atlanta. Atlanta does not represent the rest of Georgia, anymore than Seattle represents Washington. Or Chicago represents Illinois. Etc.
Is there a murder plot against him or something?
Because the election is next Tuesday 6/20.
I’m okay with the former though. ;-)
My last comment was a joke of course. A joke like Griffin’s joke.
