James Comey, the former FBI director who was fired by President Trump last month, is expected to tell a Senate committee that the president asked him to back off the investigation into Mike Flynn, a source told The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.
The report said Comey could testify as early as next week.

Rubio just made really important point. Trump made the same statement about Flynn being a good guy and should not be pursued by FBI to public the day after Comey meeting. In addition, it was pointed out that FBI employees would have heard what Trump’s wishes were.

First of all, we still haven't seen any memos. Secondly, did he share these memos with anybody? Thirdly, just because he wrote memos after the meetings (if he did) who knows if they are truthful? It would still be a "he said, he said" situation. Unless there were tapes available.
If he did not have presence of mind to report Trump, his firing more than justified.

Comey is a liar, and; all this is HEARSAY sour grapes. I would have told anyone up front I was uncomfortable with -that I operate like this. If you cannot allow it or do not like it -find another person for the job. Comey is all BS, a liar, and a bought and paid Clinton employee.

Exactly, take a look at Iran-Contra, the democrats managed to drag that nothing burger out for over six years, and arguable were able to finally use it to defeat George HW Bush in 1992 with the Special Prosecutor coming out with more indictments just days before the Clinton/Bush election. Then as soon as Clinton got elected, everything was magically dropped and the investigation finally closed.

Even worse than that. He made NO EFFORT to communicate corective action back to Trump, even though he knows many ways to get that done, and in fact had done so on other occasions. He didn;t pas it back to Sessions, he didn't pass it back to WH counsel, etc. Even granting he lacks the fortitude to object directly to Trump's face, the fact he made no effort to ge tthe message back to Trump shows, to me, an intention to harm the relationship, long term.
You know, of course, that the Republican Party leaders tacitly support what the Democrats/Leftists are doing ... and have given them extensive power and authority to do what they’re doing!
