Memorial Gathering for John Niedbalski (nytexan)

 

John was a fiercely loyal FRiend to us and loved by many. We will all miss him.

We want to spend some time with all of John's FRiends and honor this amazing person.

I too first met NYT on the NASCAR threads. He did spectacular Dale Jr screen caps for me. Way back then I made a running joke about my “grandparenthood” that I didn’t like baking much so no cookie or brownie baking. I mentioned making ice box pies one day and became the “Pie Baking Granny.” When I first talked Mr.W into going to a shoot and asked NYT what I could bring to supper at his place he replied “banana cream pie.” Haven’t forgotten and will make sure it’s at his memorial.

He was a very special man to to many. I used to lurk on the NASCAR threads and helped him with his table to use to start his threads. I was happy and proud to do it.

Do you hear from westcoastgal or whatever her name was who posted on the NASCAR threads. I have lost contact with her and don't know if she is aware of NYT's passing. I met her once on a trip.

We will lift a fork-ful of banana cream pie in his honor! 💙

I haven’t heard from WestCoastGal in 8 or 9 years. She was upset with some attacks on the NASCAR thread and freepmailed me that she wasn’t coming back. I heard from her 3 or 4 times after that and had her on twitter for awhile but don’t have a clue what’s happened to her.

Last time I asked John, he hadn’t heard from her either. I do hope she’s OK.
