Nobody seems to have the skills or the interest in inheriting Dad’s tools.

I don’t know where you live, but around here the auctions way out in the countryside are the places to sell tools, equipment and building material leftovers. The city places do the furniture and granny’s dishes. There are auctions at the Howard county fairgrounds near Baltimore that the handymen like to go to.
