I often wondered why Jesus would allow Peter to carry a sword. It was only to defend the innocent Lord Himself because He had not yet prayed all night about His self-sacrifice. At the time of His arrest He was in complete submission to the Father’s will and He healed the one who was wounded but never reprimanded Peter about using the sword but did tell Him to put it away. We are to defend the innocent.
The line that America crossed (and all but 6 other nations) is legalizing child sacrifice. We must stop it or the nations will be judged. Defend them first and then we will win our battles with God going before us. Can we expect victory without His blessing and while we anger Him so?
