Barron Trump was watching television Tuesday at home with Melania when Kathy Griffin's photo appeared on the screen, and his initial reaction was that something terrible happened to his father.
Trump family sources tell us Barron was in front of the TV watching a show when the news came on and he saw the bloody, beheaded image. We're told he panicked and screamed, "Mommy, Mommy!" As it was put to us, "He's 11. He doesn't know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad."
President Trump blasted Griffin for posing with the head, saying, Barron was having a hard time dealing with it. Griffin has apologized.

It isn’t the continued reaction but the immediate visceral reaction which is the worst. I have seen most of the beheading videos and they all get to me, right from the beginning. And I am not some 11 year old who doesn’t know the score.
She will be booed off any stage outside of Pyongyang and Berkeley where her agent can get her booked to appear. Or worse. I’m hoping for worse.

Are we talking about the same residence where lots of men with guns are everywhere trying to protect Daddy, the same family who's received 5,000 death threats from every direction, including media types, politicians and billionaire drug kingpins? The same family where people are jumping your fences trying to get at Daddy, or rushing the stage, and the same Dad who's been threatened by international terrorist organizations?

As a parent if anything bad happens I would try to warn my child about what happened before anyone else. Yes it would be very disturbing and it sucks that he has to learn that people hate his dad.

That is true. I am also not a snowflake. So many people have come down with a case of the vapors over this they are in for a very rough ride these next 3.5 years. The Left will only be emboldened by this reaction. All attention, all the time is their goal. Everyone is playing right into their hands.

The evil that is going around that inspired this is still about. She did not act in a vacuum nor on a whim, for that photo shoot had to be designed and the prop carefully constructed which would give ample time for reflection, and she was not the only one involved in the photo shoot.
But as I come from a Christian perspective, I am reminded of that part of the Lord's prayer: Forgive us our sins just as we forgive those who sin against us.. And I remember the parable of the man forgiven a huge sum who in turn was merciless in demanding a small debt from a fellow servant. And also of the two men who went to the Temple to pray...the righteous Pharisee who thanked God for being better than his fellow man, and the tax collector who knelt low in shame and begged God for mercy. And I am thus reminded to hate only the sin, and not the sinner. And the remedy for this hate is love rather than more hate. Not stupid blind love--for this hate on the left is pretty evil--but no part of the solution is hating back and wishing another go to Hell.
Oppose the darkness in the people, not the people themselves. Always value every soul, even the soul of the most depraved and wish its good. This may be easier done if one keeps in mind that their good consists of being shown their error and made to understand what they have done so that they might, if they chose, make the choice we should hope they make and truly repent like the tax collector in the parable, and beg God for forgiveness. And also, it may be even easier if we remember that by God's standards our own righteousness is like filthy rags, and we ought not fall into the trap of the Pharisee in the parable. And it is our principle duty to fight the darkness in ourselves, and in that struggle gain those virtues best suited to help others as a secondary duty.
