Comedian Kathy Griffin has apologized for a photo of herself holding what appears to be a bloody, decapitated fake head of President Trump, despite sweeping bi-partisan disapproval of the image.
The photo, taken by celebrity photographer Tyler Shields, was posted by Griffin and Shields Tuesday to their social media accounts.
"I caption this 'there was blood coming out of his eyes, blood coming out of his ... wherever,'" Griffin tweeted, referring to an exchange between Donald Trump and former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly during the primary season.
But in an attempt to appease those who were offended by the image, the controversial comedienne then tweeted, "OBVIOUSLY, I do not condone ANY violence by my fans or others to anyone, ever! I'm merely mocking the Mocker in Chief."

But the image caught the attention of the U.S. Secret Service. Although the federal law enforcement agency does not directly cite the image in any of its tweets, in response to Twitter users tweeting the image at its account, the Secret Service tweeted Tuesday afternoon, "On it! @SecretService has a robust protective intelligence division that monitors open source reporting & social media to evaluate threats."
And an hour later, the agency tweeted, "Threats made against @SecretService protectees receive the highest priority of all of our investigations. #ProtectionNeverRests."

The level of hatred tells us who Griffin and many, many leftists are. Their hatred runs much deeper than conservatives to the point that they are completely blind of reason.

RE Beheading and Griffin:
Years ago, I forced myself to watch a video of Chechen moslem savages beheading a Russian soldier.
It was sick and barbaric. But it served a purpose: for them, to create an image of terror and cause potential enemies to be terrified of opposing the musloids. Then came more video taped beheadings from the same scum.
For me, watching it showed me - and left ZERO doubt about - exactly what kind of subhuman scum we are dealing with - warped animals, who do this for their warped religion.
But for a supposed American citizen to pretend this is “comedy”, because like, you know, like she’s a “comic, you know, like, who crosses the line”, shows what a psychotic lunatic she really is. She showed more about herself in that photograph than she realized. And it’s uglier than she could imagine.
She may actually be a danger to herself and others, and needs serious psychiatric help, if she finds ANY humor in it.
And even if it was because she’s an attention wh*re who’s trying to review a faltering career, it’s still sick.
I can’t even begin to imagine the parents of the people who’d seen their loved ones publicly beheaded in those videos seeing that photo.
And the President’s little kid seeing that... He’s 11, for God’s sake. I remember how I felt about my old man when I was 11. He was 55 feet tall to me.
We truly are two countries right now... and we cannot coexist with psychopaths who think something like this is funny, nor endorse it - either tacitly or outright or snickering behind their palm.
As much as I disliked the last eight years and the now-booted-out progenitor of much of this country’s current woes, I couldn’t even CONCEIVE of making a sick “joke” like that.
I actually don’t remember ever being as angry as I am right now over this.
So yes, Miss Griffin... you got the reaction you sought. You pissed off more than half the country.
So please don’t be surprised as we reciprocate and piss all over you and what’s left of your career.
It needs to become a Life Mission for all of us who still have a sense of decency and morals.
Anyone that supports this freakshow needs to be boycotted out of existence.
