This is so mind-bogglingly huge, I still can't believe it. It would explain---in part---why the GOP is so cowardly. Much of the cowardice is ignorance and being manipulated by their own staffs.

I have no idea if they can fire all these people but this is a fifth column.

Now, opinion only: Who saw "Charlie Wilson's War?" What do you want to bet that the majority of the "staffers" look like Charlie's staffers and/or are homosexuals? I never put much stock in the homosexual mafia angle of DC, but after this, I need to re-think.

Interestingly, when asked a few years ago about term limits, in summary my congress critter stated he did not support term limits because there are not term limits for the staff, and they would then in essence know more/have more clout than the elected Congress critters.

At the time, I thought it a rather lame reply, but perhaps it was not....

Haven’t read the thread yet, but talk about an area ripe for reform. What the actual hell. I wonder if Posobiec has the resources to dig some more. How many of out congressional and senatorial committees are majority dem??? How can this happen??? Don’t these congressmen bring and/or hire their own staff???

HR in general has done a lot to ruin businesses, but this is insane.

The gop is the majority party right now. How many of their staffs are dems??

This needs to be addressed while we still have at least a nominal majority. I suspect that there are scores of young Republicans being graduated each year, who would be willing to work on Committee staffs for half of what these Democrats are making--and their skills at doing research on subjects would be every bit as well honed, after surviving undergraduate college and remaining Republican.

And even some of those who might be as intellectually lost as Senator McCain, might learn on the job to move to the Right. (Leftwing politics & "moderate" Republican politics are both hopelessly flawed; but one surviving College to even identify as a "moderate" Republican might be still capable of learning.)

The Obama/Clinton crowds have pulled out the stops. We have no alternative but to play hardball. They will smear us in any event. Let's clean house, while we can.
